Of those who actually went to the Spring Game...who do you feel was the "MVP" of the game?

I have quite a few suggestions:

Zitek
Tiller
Banks
Mahoney
Entire team for their actions after the game (for those who stuck around for after the game I would hope you know what I'm talking about)

Tiller without a doubt. His long pass and long run were the most impressive plays of the game. Not ready to replace AA with Tiller, but for this game, he was impressive.

I really thought Zitek did awesome. How much do you guys expect him to play? And also Maggit did pretty good.

What went down after the game? I had to leave with 7 left in the 4th for 311 in Iowa City..Also any update on LJ and his knee
the coaching staff said its not serious at all . just did't want to risk it during the spring game.

The team huddled together on the west sideline and sang the fight song to the crowd. They then gathered at midfield and had a meeting with coach. You could just tell that Rhoads has their attention. Then a little boy with some ailment(he had a full face cover on for breathing?)came into the midle of the group and gathered around him to sing the fight song. Pretty Cool.

What happened after the game????

Just after the game ended, the entire team (both sides) ran over to the west side of the stadium were are the fans were located, and they took their hemets off and sang the fight song to the crowd to show their appreciation. They did this on their own, Rhoads did not tell them to do it. It was a very cool moment. I think it was just one more indication that the team's morale is very very good.

No Sed on your list!?

No, he couldn't be. He made some decent catches in the 2nd half, but dropped way too many easy ones in the first. The TD should have been caught, but was understandable. The 2 that squarely hit him in the hands/chest after that were inexcusable. Same trend as last season, this needs to get corrected.

Had 2 weddings to go to yesterday so I couldn't make it. Did Bo play and how did he look?

Running was "ok", blocking was not. Really need him to become more physical - Paul talked about physical a ton to the team after the game - Bo needs to get on board with this.

Not sure about MVP but a few thoughts. Kennard Banks is a very good player. It really hurt us last year when he got injured in game one of the season. It will be nice to go into the season with two good quarterbacks. If AA gets injured Tiller is more than able to step in and do a great job. We have three very good running backs. Bo Williams showed more speed than I thought he might have for a guy his size. Sed Johnson is ready to have a monster season, our receiving corps is deep. I think we will be in a lot of close ball games this season. If we can win our share of those close games we might have a chance to get to six wins.

If LJ didn't get knocked out with an injury early, I probably would have gone with him because he did a good job coverage. You may notice that it wasn't until after LJ went out that SJ started making plays. I think I will have to go with Jesse Smith or Sedrick Johnson. That interception by Jesse was just a great play. It might not have been the smartest pass by AA, but it is a pass that normally would have been completed for the offense.

Did anyone else think that Brandtner look a little bit off? And Also I hope Mahoney does not get hurt. Did anyone else notice it looked like Darks hurt his hand?

I watched Tillers TD run on the clonezone replay and I'm very impressed with his speed. He got in the open and turned it on. The man is very quick. He was even still pulling away during the run.
