This IS his third offensive scheme in four years(assuming redshirt) and only the 6th game using the last scheme. He did appear much better this game--was that because he was that much better or was Kansas one of the poorer pass defense teams we have faced this year?

I know(getting off topic) that many people thought our pass defense had improved after the NDSu and Army games--when in fact, neither one of those teams had good passing attacks to begin with.

I think most of us overlook something very important in the pass defense, the front four. It takes 11 guys to have a good pass defense. the four who are pressing the QB are just as important as the 7 in coverage. If an accurate passer gets more than 3 or 4 seconds all the time, then his guys are all going to get open and he will light us up.

Stats can be deceptive...especially early in the season. However, the only real "stats" that matters for a QB are those in the "W" and "L" columns behind the team's name.

I did not get to see the KU game yesterday and the only highlight I saw was Reesing throwing the game winning touchdown. But I read this in my morning paper in the game recap "Iowa State's Austen Arnaud, scrambling on a fourth-and-9, had Darius Darks in the open in the end zone but overthrew him with a minute left and the Jayhawks (5-0, 1-0 Big 12) held on." This from the AP.

They forgot to mention that he was throwing back across his body while running for his life and I'm pretty sure he got hit right after he let go of it.

Boy, that is deceptive. Not as easy as they made it sound. He took a hit right after he threw it. He was running toward the left sideline and threw it to the middle whil loff balance and being chased. It was a makable throw, but it certainly wasn't a gimme.

I'm happy with AA's numbers in all but one game. I don't buy into the whole "3 systems" deal, I think he's shown that if at the very least he doesn't have any negative plays like he did in the Iowa game that we are good enough on offense to hang in there with anyone. To me all he has to do is protect the ball and make some plays in the running game. Arob and our Oline are going to be able to keep us moving the ball, all AA needs to do is let the game come to him.

Ya it was a heck of a play to even get the pass off let alone anywhere near a receiver.
