For a light beer, it's not bad. Most light beers don't have any flavor. It seems to be better from a glass than a bottle.

You are supposed to drink wheat beer (Hefeweizen) with a lemon.

Not knowing how to properly drink a beer is grounds for having your man card removed.

You are correct sir! Just because you drink specialty beers that take a lemon, lime, or orange does not make you a cissy! It make the beer taste EVEN BETTER! When my hardcore drinking college friends/tailgate buddies come over to watch a game they put them in their drinks if we drink a Boulevard or Blue Moon.

If you want another good wheat beer you should try Capitol Wheat from Wisconsin. I love Blvd unfiltered wheat but Capitol is a serious challenger.

My brother-in-law said the same thing after a recent trip to Madison.

I had a six pack of BL Golden Wheat a few weeks ago, and I thought it was pretty good. Of course it's not as good as other "true" wheat beers, but it is what it is. And it passes.

I tried Capitol Wheat for the first time during Christmas 2 years ago and then nearly bought out the little town grocery store during New Years weekend that year. I couldn't get enough of it. Wish I could get it here in Texas. I guess I'll have to wait until New Years this year !

why does it have to be Bud light golden wheat? Why can't it just be Bud golden wheat? I just really have a problem with buying beers that are a third less calories. (a third more water)

I won't drink this crap out of principle. It's not about passion or innovation, it's about claming a market share on a recently popular type of beer. Buy a Hoegaarden, Erdinger or better yet a Dinky Wheat or John's White Ale to help the Iowa folks out.

I like helping out the Iowans, but HubCity wheat is horrible. Just pure filth.

I've had a bad experience with Hub City. Their Brown Ale is the worst beer I've had. It's a running joke with my friends. In fact I had a friend send me a MMS pic two days ago to inform me that it had "infested" southern Minnesota. I have heard several people tell me that the problems have been remedied, and that is much improved but I am not spending my own money on it again to find out.

Dinky Wheat is one of the few Olde Main beers that is consistently solid. John's Generations White Ale is out of Millstream and was exceptional.

I bought a mixed six pack from Hub City about a year ago. I like a couple of the brews but one was not good at all. Too long ago to remember which I didn't like, but I think it was there heavy beer. Too chunky....

You aren't supposed to drink any beer with fruit. If they wanted fruit in it, they would have put it in there when they brewed it.

Some people enjoy fruit with their beer, but it's not something you're "supposed" to do. It's a personal preference (which I, for one, do not care for).

Tried it and it's ok, but I just wonder if it's a true wheat beer. The label says "light beer brewed with coriander and citrus peels." So is it just a light beer brewed to taste similar to a wheat? Kind of tastes like it to me.

The only thing that makes a wheat beer a wheat beer is that it's brewed with wheat malt. I suspect it probably is, though I haven't personally tried it, since there are so many other fantastic beers I'd rather drink before this almost certain dreck. Coriander and citrus peel are pretty common additions to many styles of wheat beer.

I still think they should market budwesier/bud light as a rice beer.

Really? I will have to good some then!

In the grand scheme of things, Blvd Wheat is really pretty mediocre to borderline bad.

Gumballhead from Three Floyds, A Little Sumpin' Sumpin' from Lagunitas, Oberon from Bells, Hop Sun from Southern Tier, Trout Slayer from Big Sky are all much better, IMO.

But to each their own.
