Your location says Ankeny. Chances are you're seeing the big games. Of course they're loud. Duh. It's like someone basing Iowa State solely on the Texas game because they could see that one.

ESPN FC or ESPN 360. In today's world you can watch a game in another state any time

As much as i hate frank martin, he sure has got it figured out there. Not only are they winning, they are landing great recruits.

Besides it used to be that way. I think they took the seats behind the visitors bench away from the students in '03?

Yeah, I loved the days when we were behind the visiting bench - some of the things that got said..... oh wow, good times!

To get back to the OP's main statement, how is it magic if the #9 team is beating the #1 teams at home? That doesn't seem like such a huge upset to me which wouldn't require much magic...

main point is this: our magic is gone.

Martin will leave. It is not like Manhattian kansas is a nice place or anything.

The way many talked on here, Martin would be leaving because he can't coach and the program would go in the crapper. More brilliant commentary.

I have read that KSU pays an assistant coach more than ISU pays McDermott way too many times on this board.

I would say one time would be too many, because it's not true.

Bravo for selling your soul to the devil, bravo.

How did they sell their soul to the devil? Don't look now but we have a guy on our staff that used to coach AAU for one of the most shady AAU programs in the country as well as one of the most shady JUCO's in the country. I'd say we sold our soul to the devil too, we just didn't get near as good of a deal.

Chipola, after the Mike Taylor and Stephon Hannah Big 12 experiment we started hearing a lot more about it.

Thanks, I mis-read your original post. I thought you were implying we had a shady Juco player on our team now.

Its been that way the last 4 years.

Truer words have never been uttered ... (at least on this site)

Since McDermott arrived hilton magic has evaporated and when you see a game on tv the sound from the stands seems muted at best.....

Yeah boys a few more years of the grate Greg McDermott and hilton will be empty just like the Lynn Nance days.....

Wayne Morgan was a bad coach but he went to the nit finals and the ncaa in three lackluster years at the helm....

Whats that say for McDermott in his 4th year ???

Why don't you grow up and quit calling the coach of our bball team names.

How old are you? 6?

Congrats to KSU and Frank Martin. Martin takes alot of heat here on CF, but he seems to know what he is doing, and he has carried on quite nicely after Huggins dumped KSU. He has good athletes on his team, they play tough, physical BB, and his team seems to be decently coached.

It makes me jealous, and mad at the same time, because there is absolutely no reason that ISU should not have what KSU has in MBB.

Sad and abysmal the same time. K-State is on the same level with dried puss. I'd be completely fine if we beat the crap out of them in our match-up this season - with baseball bats.
