Gee, thanks for suggesting I am a moron. I never said it could lead to cheating or paying players.......I was asking.......why not? GMac apparently (in his own words) is willing to go against things he believes in, so what else can be done? Maybe I used some bad examples, but how about say bringing Pomlee back, since we need bodies. Also, with all this going on.......what happens when the next player steps out of line? What if 2 or 3 players do something that warrants suspension?

Not suggesting you are a moron but rather suggesting your statement is moronic.

I don't understand where you are getting the bolded part. The only person saying that is RossHallHero. Nothing from McDermott, the press, ISU or people with inside information have said that.

In my opinion, you are as far off base here as you could possibly be.

Maybe you should go back over this thread and read some of the "insiders" posts. It is well known that they had a team meeting in which the players voted on if Colvin should be allowed to play. So I would say that I am totally on the money in posing the questions that I have.

I wouldn't expect a GMAC apologist to understand or do his homework though.

26 pages of ******** back and forth at each other. I would bet all of my credits if the team had won last night most of the McD haters would have stayed in their mothers basement for the day.

No, they would be here stating that we didn't win by enough. Kinda like after the Nebraska game.

Don't expect an answer to that question. lol

You are right on the money here.

Compromising your integrity is just like lying. The first time is the hardest but then the next time it just keeps getting a little bit easier, and easier. Before you know it.... Our program is at risk.

Agreed, they come out of the woodwork everytime this team suffers a loss. Sad really Mom and Dad should keep a better watch on their internet privileges.

Instead we just get to listen to you guys talk about how fantastic a 3 point win over a horrible Nebraska team is. Then when we get beat up we will here sob stories about how Lucca screwed us and none of this is GMAC's fault. Wesley Johnson has far more blame in this then GMAC in the eyes of the GMAC apologists. Since when has mediocrity in ISU basketball been celebrated and defended like it is right now? Pathetic.

I know......no one will answer it. I just wonder what will happen though.

Dude, we are Iowa State! All we have is mediocrity, besides a few years at the beginning of this decade Iowa State has had little success in basketball. We are not Duke, and some people sure like to ***** after losses like we are!

You, my friend, need a history lesson. You are so wrong. Go do a little research on the 23 years prior to GM's arrival in Ames and get back to me.

Is it? Or did he meet with the players individually and every one wanted him back. I don't ever recall a vote being discussed. That would imply just a simple majority was all that was needed for him to get back.

OK, let's just say you guys are right and Mac has no integrity. Why does that matter. When he did have integrity that sure didn't matter. All that mattered was he wasn't winning. Why does it matter now?

You also post like you have been around the the team and have seen Colvin and he hasn't been a model teammate. I haven't been around but from what I hear he has been a model teammate since the suspension. Maybe Mac didn't expect him to change so quickly and grow up like he did. Maybe he expected him to walk. Mac may have been proven wrong and wasn't afraid to reward him for changing his tune and becoming a better teammate. Of course I realize this is not possible in your eyes because he changed his mind. "Oh my god, he changed his mind. You can't just change your mind." You guys say you don't want the team running the program but at the same time you won't let Mac make this decision without jumping all over him.

You suspend them. You evaluate it daily and reinstate them when appropriate. Kind of like he did this time.

I would not put a date on it.

Colvin took his suspension and reacted in a proper way. Had he taken it negatively I'd agree Mac's decision was wrong, but he took it like a man and admitted he deserved it. I would have played him also.

Well, at least the 2nd time anyways, right? His 'more input' happens to just fit into what you want, which is to win at all costs. Having someone go back on his decision is one thing, to have the fortitude to spin it as anything else is irresponsible and shows coaches lack of respect for the fans intelligence. Either he's right, or he's not. So, is he a hypocrite or are we all just dumb enough to buy this?

bawbie doesn't fit as a "win at all costs" guy at all. That's far from what he's been posting about. Way to go overboard to characterize someone you disagree with.
