Washington D.C. isn't a state silly. It's only a City. AND it is the nation's capital. :wink0st:

I know this :wink0st: I know that Spokane is an isolated city in eastern Washington state near the Idaho border, and that Gonzaga is in Washington state, not Washington D.C. :wink0st:

I think a lot of us have gone way beyond facetious

Nope. It's in Spokane, a suburb of Washington. D.C. It's in that big metroplex of universities in the D.C. area that includes Maryland, Georgetown, George Washington, etc... :wink0st:

After my wife and I toured the white house we drove through Gonzaga's campus. It was pretty nice but no Central Campus. :wink0st:

Gonzaga is not in Washington, D.C. It is in the state of Washington, on the west cost. Seriously people.

I once spent a week in Spokane, WA looking for the mythical place they call Gonzaga.

Little did I realize at the time that Gonzaga was located in D.C.

It still disturbs me that people think that Gonzaga is located in Spokane WA after all the evidence refutes such frivolous claims.

Gonzaga University is a private, four-year comprehensive university. Gonzaga's educational philosophy is based on the 450-year Ignatian model that aims to educate the whole person -- mind, body and spirit -- an integration of science and art, faith and reason, action and contemplation. At Gonzaga, "cura personalis," or care for the individual, is our guiding theme.

Gonzaga was founded in 1887, and enrolls about 5,400 students in 92 undergraduate and 21 graduate programs. The Gonzaga School of Law is one of three in the state of Washington. Located in Spokane, Wash., Gonzaga's campus is situated on 108 acres along the beautiful Spokane River, within a 10-minute walk of downtown Spokane. Spokane enjoys a population of 190,000 within city limits, and more than 400,000 in the greater Spokane area.

Gonzaga is named after a young 16th century Italian Jesuit, Aloysius Gonzaga, who died in Rome trying to save young people from the plague. He was later named the patron saint of youth.

In the end, there is a huge difference between choosing Gonzaga out West in eastern Washington or Ames. Personally, his parents can probably see more bball games on the TV, streaming, in person if e goes to Ames.

Mr. PolkCityClone unless you are a Zag alumn you need to relax and get a sense of humor. As bad as the prior comments were if you really want to see silly go read the good news on 08 recruiting.

Well, I've really enjoyed my visits to this board over the past few days, but always in the back of my mind was the certain knowledge that one day soon, me and my laptop would get pitched out of the joint into the street. Looks like tonight's the night.

I think I'll just put this post in a brown paper bag, set it on fire, ring your doorbell, and run an hide to watch when you stomp on it to try to put it out:

Not that I want to get this thread charged up again :no6xn:

Martin Bros. should be back from their weekend tournament. Wasn't the latest word something along the lines of GG would make a decision after the weekend? Anything happening?

The guy that runs the Gonzaga site hinted late last night that good news was on the way anytime now...maybe he's talking about something else, but I know Mark Few was watching Gibbs this weekend, and I would assume it means he got a verbal out of him, and it will be announced this week.

All along I thought he would chose the Zags, they are higher rated program than ISU is right now, and he will get more playing time there right off the bat, which is too bad, I would love to see him at ISU.

It ain't over 'til it's over folks....

This "news" isn't promising, but we've still got a lot in our favor. I've still got my fingers crossed.
