I didn't "fall" for anything. Your AD called out a member of the fanbase. WRONG!!! You don't do that! As AD, if you don't agree, ignore him or send him a generic reply, don't call him out.

I think he did do that though. Now what?

Why do you care? As a Hawk fan, you should be delighted.

So you agree with the Hawk fan? Dear Lord what is going on? My mind can't comprehend it.!.!.?

I never said I didn't like Hawk fans, I said they were arrogant. Many of my friends are Hawk fans and they all like to tell me what they think ISU should do.

I get around
I added my two cents because on the way home from work I heard the issue on the radio. I had an emotional reaction to what I heard on the radio. I felt like I should voice my opinion. I did so. As I said above, nothing I have added to this conversation is anything out of the ordinary or trollish. If my screen name was Cy#1NationalChampsBaby you wouldn't even look twice at what I said. Too bad some people can't go outside their comfort zone once in a while and smell the flowers...
Maybe you're just a little too emotional, huh? Control yourself. I won't tell you what I smell from your post and it isn't flowers.

Do I not have an opinion? Like I stated above, if my screen name said anything other than "Hawk" this would not be a problem. I am only stating what other ISU fans feel. As a business major I feel that this is wrong. JP is the equivalent of a CEO. You should never call out your customer base in that position. Hands down. Me being a Hawk means nothing in this argument.

Actually, hok fans' opinions ARE null and void here...at least for many of us. People with a vested interest in seeing our programs fail shouldn't be taken seriously on this board. A vast majority of them are idiots anyway.

You must make friends very easily I see.

How do you know I have a vested interest in ISU's failure? You a mind reader?

It won't be too long before ol' Frak puts you on ignore, like he/she claims to have done with every Hawk fan on this board. In fact, you should quote this so he/she can see it, as I've supposedly made the list.

I'll quote you... I wouldn't mind if he added a Cyclone fan too...

You have an opinion but you, like JP, should know when to use it. You are correct, if you were a Clone fan it would carry more weight. Since you are a business major and JP just recently acquired his GED, I'm starting to think that maybe you are right. I wonder if he could use an assistant?

Hey guys, how about we get back on topic and stop the back and forth sniping?

I don't want to have to shut down this cash cow of a thread...the ad revenue is going through the roof on this one!

People can be banned in a public forumn too for breaking rules associated with that board and forumn.. So what was your point???

Unless a mod comes in and says he is out of line and needs to pipe down, I don't see what you are getting at.
I can see that. I keep forgetting that I'm on a message board and that I need to dumb down my logic to a lower level.

Here's a question to unite ISU and Iowa fans - how long before ISU attendance hits the levels seen in CHA this year? 1-2 more years of GM should get ISU there.

We're trying to get this baby as long the "Is Lickliter getting fired?" thread from last spring. That thing was over 1000 posts.

So if this kid didn't bash Scotty and DG, and just left it that he was upset and concerned with the direction of the team. Would people still be calling this kid a DB like everyard and others???

What happens if this kid someone had the cure for cancer in his letter to Pollard. (Just throwing something radical out there. Or maybe had a check for $2,000,000 in hand, written out to ISU) Would Pollard treat him the same way???

Who says this kid doesn't some day have $5,000 a year to donate, but because of Pollard being arrogant back when he was 20 decides not to donate??

From what the kid said in his letter, it's obvious that he doesn't have the cure for cancer. (or even a basketball analogy for it)

Sure, the kid might someday have that kind of money, but it's likely that a) Pollard will be long gone by then, and b) it will never happen unless something substantial changes in the direction of the kid's life because based on his thoughts and communication skills, it's HIGHLY unlikely that he'll ever get there without recognizing just how far out of bounds his letter was.

From the tone of the letter, it's safe to say that the kid never expected a response.

Amusing, but really, you feel the same as I do. Just because I don't throw on a Cardinal and Gold tee-shirt doesn't mean you can't agree with me. Contrary to popular belief, every Iowa fan doesn't hate ISU. Hate if you want, but I'm not saying anything that isn't being said already by your own fanbase...

It was getting that way towards the tail end of this season. In both cases, only one thing will get Carver and Hilton full again, and that's winning.

Absolutely right on both counts. I was at the Nebraska game and have never seen a conference home game so sparsely attended. One to two more years and the program will have dug a hole from which it may be impossible to escape barring another miracle Johnny Orr type hire.
