Jeter was on that list after making the tourney, but it looks more likely that he was just winning with Pearl's players.. After his first year he hasnt gotten higher than 4th in a conference that is just Butler and everyone else.

I can't understand the infatuation with LE? He won with Floyd's recruits and didn't win big after that, nor has he won down in Mississippi. I think he was the right guy to win with the guys that had come in but, it is time to move on.

So did Morgan win with LE's players?

It's been beaten to death, but clearly LE was the best coach we've had at ISU. What happened when all of "Floyd's" guys left that 1st year? Oh yeah, LE won it again with a couple of key freshmen in the rotation.

Now that he has vanquished his devils he will be a winner at a big conference school if he gets a chance. He's languishing at a terrible bb school now, not doing awful, but the best he can with the cards he is dealt.

the guy cuts not one but TWO nets down at ISU and some people continue to question his ability. ISU basketball has been around A LONG time...do you know how many other coaches have cut nets down? And, no, it wasn't Tim Floyd's guys, it was mostly Tinsley...Eustachy's guy. We did win a title without Fizer you know. And, Eustachy was at the brink again with Stinson, Blalock, and Homan ready to go...you don't think under Larry that squad wouldn't have been in store for big things?

Exactly. He's rehabbing his image. Keep bashing him when he is hired away by someone like LSU and they start winning titles.

Rick Ray all the way!

Go get that guy.... and NOW. A great recruiter, Purdue runs a fun style of basketball, plus he has ties to Iowa! Unbelievable. Everything you would want.

Our football coach and MBB would both be from the Des Moines area. I like it.

My Dream - OMG - Pick:

Matt Painter - Purdue.

That would be similar to the shock value when we hired Johnny Orr.

Agreed. Not to mention that LE's verbally abusive style burned out his players (de we really need to mention Baylor and Hampton again???). If you are going to disqualify Nurse because of recruiting, then you better disqualify LE as well.

Nurse has won just pretty much everywhere he has gone, and it has been reported that Nurse's player relation skills are good. Plus, Nurse's "buyout" would be considerably smaller...

We would sell our souls just to get some nets and hardwood.
