Well, the games will all be televised. They've been airing 5 conference games during conference play. There will only be 5 conference games when NU and CU leave.

We need to increase the TV contracts though.

Sounds like we will be getting a lot of thurs night games.

Please show me any offer that was made by any conference. Not just a speculation article but a true bona-fide offer.

Just what i know. We wouldve landed in a BCS conference no matter what.

You saying we had no chance at anything other than big 12 is exactly what you ***** about. Speculation.

And what other choice(s) does ISU have. NO OTHER CONFERENCE WANTED ISU.

So you know this for a fact? Or are you just taking a shot in the dark without knowing what the hell you are talking about?

If you haven't noticed... JP never says anything and nothing ever slips out into the media. If we got an offer from another conference you sure as hell aren't going to know about it. Go ahead and keep telling everyone that we have absolutely nothing going for us except being UT's *****.

We have no choice right now but I believe there's a contingency plan.

If there is no buyout money, and no new TV deal, why stay? I would find something else to do if I were the other 5 schools, and now maybe we have some time to explore other options. The conference won't survive like this. If Texas can just rewrite the rules whenever they want we can't really compete under that. This isn't any different than it was expect we get nothing, Texas gets more.

While they're not out of my dog house, Nebraska and Colorado are off the hook as far as I'm concerned. CU may feel "screwed" now - but they're in a better situation in the long run. Nebraska CERTAINLY is in a better situation. I never blamed them, but I envy both of them more than I did before.

Summary:

No increase in TV revenue for at least 4 years,
$17 million average is just an estimate, not commitments
No one is prevented from leaving league beyond there public statements of staying
All the exit fee money goes to OU, UT, & ATM,
It isn't clear if the larger share from having 2 less schools is also allocated to the three above

No wonder the five were having a contingency plan meeting last night in KC and I am quite certain they weren't having celebratory drinks. That said JP & GG will have to put positive spin on this

It won't be that hard to put a positive spin:

"At least we aren't in C-USA".

And yet at the end of the day - after evaluating all of the option - ISU and JP made the decision to stay put and stayed committed with the Big 12. It must really burn you that ISU spurned all of the other great offers from all the other great conferences but yet stayed put with the Big 12 and Texas. Why is that? WHY?

Do you really think ISU and JP wouldn’t have taken a better offer if one was offered? ISU had no other place to go.

Welcome to America. We are a Have Not. We are the Blue Collar working man. Texas is the CEO. Sucks to be us. We can either accept the crumbs Texas gives us. Or we can move on to the MAC or Mountain West.

I'm pretty P.O.ed that we have to PAY other teams to stay in the conference. How pathetic is that? Good God they already have all the money, this is bu!!$hit to the thousandth degree.

ISU needs to prepare a viable exit strategy that will get us out of this crappy, backwards-azz conference and into a situation where we can have an equal stake.

Those freaks can pick up their tents and move on whenever they want. Where does that leave us? I'll tell you - Where we've always been, in a position of weakness.
