He needs to go nuclear a la TF/LE and at least prove a point about the refs. He doesn't get fined/reprimanded for getting booted does he?

I know we don't have a great team this year, but does that mean we sit back and take it? Then they'll just do it to us again next week, then the next and so on.

Take what? Officiating was fine. The disparity in fouls is because we have ZERO inside game and shoot outside shot after outside shot.

We lost to a much better team. Simple as that.

Typical ISU coaches, just sit back and take it....it seems like decades ago we actually had coaches who had some pride....

Time for the refs to get tossed.

Did you watch the game? We were getting hammered all night. It's not the reason we lost but it was a factor.

Hammered...LOL...hardly. The only play I saw that I thought should have been a foul on Texas that wasn't called was an allyoop to the big white guy that jumped over Godfrey's back and clobbered him trying to get to the ball.

You're wasting your time trying to bring reason into this. Of course it's the refs fault we're down 25 points to a top 10 team on the road :jimlad:

I know but I still try.

People sound like fools when they complain about the officiating when there was really nothing wrong with it.

Oh well.

the refs were atrocious, but it wouldn't have changed the outcome and neither would Hoiberg getting tossed. a 23 point loss should have been a 17 point loss...whoopty-doo.

you cannot say that the refs were "fine" when a team doesn't shoot a FT until 35 mins of the game are up. even the announcers called it out saying they'd never seen anything like that.

Exactly. No one is saying the refs were the difference between us losing by 23 and winning the game but to say the refs were "fine" is just dumb.

LOL..not having seen that has nothing to do with whether the officiating was ok or not. There is no set rule that each team should be called for "x" number of fouls. You have to drive to the bucket and create body contact to get fouled. ISU does not do that. End result...very few fouls and trips to the line.

No impartial observer would have watched that game and thought ISU was getting screwed by the refs. We simply didn't create situations for our team that lead to getting fouled. Easy as that.

I don't see the point. The guys are playing hard...their guts out...so that's not a reason (not that anyone has said as much). Need to keep that chip on the shoulder...us vs. the world attitude. It will only make the guys tougher and closer as a team. Fred will go at it at some point, but not this year.
