Kevin Love isn't athletic.

great point. Love is successful because he relies on his technique and work ethic more than his athletic ability. I hope Niange employs a similar philosophy.

...unless he signs with Iowa, in which case I hope he's a pile.

My opinion: Booker will be a senior, Ejim, Godfrey, and Railey will be Juniors, and White a Sophomore. There are mulitple other guys they should look harder after than this guy. Example: Stauskas, Gesell, Okoro, Chambers, Staten, Nolan, Cook (who will probably be here anyway) and Dingle.

Somebody likes stars.

White will be a redshirt junior.

White will be a junior if he is around.

I don't understand how/why some people have such strong feelings about a 2012 recruit that you've never seen play. Going strictly off of what ESPN writes about a kid is a very dangerous road to go down, as some above have pointed out. Iowa State/Hoiberg are obviously very serious about this young man. At this point in the program, why not trust the staff?

And as for the Railey comparisons, I feel like they are way off. I've never seen Niang play but he is 6-foot-7, 225-pounds. Very different games.

Best thing about Niang is how well-spoken & respectful he is. He was great to interview. Iowa State needs high-class 4-year players like this to mix in with the current transfers. That's why guys like Ejim, Odunsi, Okoro, Niang, Sledge, etc. will be so valuable going forward.

I guess the only thing to say is "welcome to the Internet."

For my money, he seems like a nice fit, especially if Royce blows up like we expect and even goes pro early.

Well of course he does. What do you expect him to say, "I'm going to make a pity visit to (insert school), I have no interest in playing there but I want to see if they'll toss me a coed for the evening."?

So are you saying the visit to Iowa is the pity visit and he just coming because he is so close any way after he sees his dream school in Ames?

The point of my post was that....its hard to know what he really wants based on one interview with an admin.

I see reading comprehension isn't a strong point amongst Hawk fans.

Communicating is a two way street and some times its not the comprehension that is in question but rather the original message. IMHO (and maybe its just because I am a hawk fan)The poster I originally responded to was not clear at all about what he meant in his post.

It was clearly meant to over exaggerate the point of what else would he say when someone from a hawkeye website asked him about his thoughts about a visit to Iowa City.

Or any school for that matter. Atleast FarminCy was able to pick up on the obvious meaning of my simple interjection.
