true story...fantasy baseball starts to get old about the middle to end of august. and mlb.tv would make a heck of a lot more money if they didnt blackout 95% of the games

End of August? We're not even a week in and I've already quit adjusting my roster...

The money MLB.tv makes pales in comparison to what MLB gets for FSN North carrying Twins games.

no one cares about the teams on the east coast despite how much espn likes to hype them up

The ratings would disagree.

I discovered this morning that for the Monday night games and Monday night games only on ESPN, in this case, the Twins TV market, the ESPN broadcast and the regional telecast on FS North can "co-exist", meaning that that the ESPN broadcast wasn't blacked out in Central Iowa. This can happen up to a maximum of three times a year.

I blogged about it this morning.

Actually MLB never gets it's hands on the money from FSN North, it goes directly to the Twins. This is part of the problem. Each team gets to negotiate their own individual TV deal which becomes their own exclusive source of revenue. The problem then is that MLB.TV is a fantastic idea in concept, but their #1 priority isn't making sure that any fan can see any game they want. Their main concern is trying not to step on the toes of any regional/national sports network that has purchased broadcast rights and thus, you get these absurd blackout restrictions.

Well, today's game went pretty much exactly how you'd predict a Twins-Yankees game to go...
