All atm had to do was win, but since they could not do that they have to **** and moan about everything Texas. Winning gets you what you want period, just win and shut the hell up.

Also they just hate having Texas being the one calling all the shots. They would rather go elsewhere than get their marching orders from Austin.

This whole thing is just stupid. I really don't even care any more. College sports is slowly dying IMO.

Your avatar pretty much says it all. ISU is always a day late and a dollar short. We just have too many shortcomings and will always struggle to compete with the big boys.

We are relegated to hitching our futures to bigger, more powerful schools.

What conference are we in and who is in it? I can't read up on this ****. Is Aggie here or gone? Did OU and UT agree to keep things together? That's all that matters. If OU and UT aren't leaving, then A&M's departure is nothing but a windfall.

Longhorn Network forced A&M to evaluate the economics of their membership in the B12. More cash to be made in SEC country and its gotta help with recruiting telling kids the can play in the NFL Lite conference. B12's days are numbered.

the teams left over will look like the MAC when compared to the rosters of the big 4 conference's teams.

Well yeah, if we wait until everyone good has already been poached.

But if 16 team conferences are the future... I imagine ND needs to find a conference to join.

If we can get BYU, ND, WVU, TCU, Boise State.

Those are all teams that have better football than we do (hopefully not for long under CPR).

Add in Louisville and Cincinnati and Pitt which all have decent football.

All 8 teams above add value in Basketball. And obviously we're not going to be able to get every single team from the above list that we want... but even adding 3 from MWC or remaining Big East options... isn't bad if we can get 4 from the top 8 options (likely one of those being BYU)

That's a pretty darn good conference if you ask me!

If Texas and Oklahoma stay put then let atm go who gives a rats ***. Just replace them with a better football school or up and comer and play on and stick together and help each other out and become stronger. This conference fights like a sewing circle and it is really dumb.

How could I have forgotten about that. Even furthering my point that if all hell breaks loose and ISU or some other schools are left on the outside looking in then expect lawsuits everywhere.

Why has this not happened previously when conferences break up? Probably because this is American where the rule of law sets the tone. Obviously there is language in these conference deals that make it possible for schools to leave.

If A&M leaves the conference, they will be governed by the contract that they signed.

I will guarantee you that there is nothing in the contract that makes them liable for our financial decisions (building new facilities).

UT, OU and A&M (in that order) held most of the cards in this latest deal, and why would they sign a contract that makes them unable to ever leave schools like ISU?....They wouldn't.

Guys, snap into reality. ND will never, I repeat never join the big 12. If anything they would join the big 10, but that will probably never happen either. Wow, folks need to relax.

This isn't even as bad as it could be. If OU and OSU join A&M and the SEC picks up one more (Georgia Tech maybe? I believe they were once SEC) that's the ball game for sure.

The Big XII is a sinking ship and everyone knows it. Right now all the remaining schools are scurrying around the deck looking for life boats. A&M just found one called SEC. We better start looking too or we are going to find ourselves adrift clinging to a couple pieces of wood in a few years.

Dude, there is no where to go. Stop pretending like we have options.

The big twelve may have to go to 16 teams just to stay alive and I like the above listed schools to join if need be.
