I also predict that all of you that have girlfriends or wives - someone else has been banging them, and they will leave you. Why? You're on the internet right now, not able to monitor them.

Big 12 + Big East 18-14 team conference

They can keep their current basketball conference or be an even better hoops league by dumping the non football schools and joining up with KU, KSU, ISU, Mizzou etc...

Let A&M, OU, or whoever try to F us over. Let the ACC teams sweat it out about who gets poached and who is left out of a major conference.

I could live with the Big East. We'd definitely be more competitive in football, but basketball would be a different story. Not to mention a 20 team basketball league is a bit ridiculous.

Well, if Mizzou goes to the SEC...........and I'm guessing that A&M/OU/Mizzou are now negotiating all 3 to the SEC and setting up the divisions, etc..............then at least that means that we have a good shot at the Big East, even with TCU joining.

Unless KU decides to go to the Pac 10, which I doubt, then we will go with KU and K-state to the Big East, IMO.

The Big East won't kick out the non-football schools. That was their sentiment last year, at least.

I think you're underestimating ND's arrogance. They've turned down the Big 10 already, and I'm unclear as to how the Big 12 has more $$$ to offer than the Big 10 could offer. Maybe it's in the form of their own TV network, which the Big 10 probably wouldn't allow, but they can do their own network without a conference. ND is an outstanding academic institution, and on that front, the Big 12 just isn't as good a fit. If you think academics doesn't matter, you're kidding yourself. There's no way they're going to join a conference that's viewed as academically mediocre. The money they get from alumni and donors is huge, and that's a group that has staunchly opposed the school joining the Big 10, which is a much better geographic, cultural, academic, and athletic fit for the school. I don't see how anyone can think the Big 12 will be able to land them. But who knows, just my opinion.

I'm not underestimating their arrogance, I never said that I believe they will go to the Big 12. I said that the Big 12 has likely provided the best offer to date to join a conference as they would likely allow them to keep their current network status plus take home some Big 12 conference money. So this offer will likely test them even harder as to whether they stay independent or go the conference route.

If Mizzou/A$M/OU to the SEC, you would have to think the divisions are:

West
OU
Mizzou
A&M
LSU
Arkansas
Ole Miss
Miss State
and maybe Tennessee or Kentucky??

East
Auburn
Bama
Vandy
S. Carolina
Florida
Georgia
Tenn/Kentucky
Va Tech/WVU???

The only thing about the big east is if you think the local media ignores U's now, just wait until we have no regional rival...except the Kansas ones which barely count.

My take. BYU and ND negotiations went bad. Mizzou and OU scrambling to get out by sept 1. **** will hit the fan early this week. Not panicking, just my 2cents. Flight aware never means good news for ISU and that flight has bad news written all over it's flight path.

If it were a Mizzou plane visiting SEC schools I'd agree with you. But Oklahoma has no need to be proactive. They have a seat warm for them in the Pac 12, Big 10, or SEC if they wanted it and have no fear of being on the outside looking in during any realignment. I'm not going to guess what this plane is doing, but A&M/Mizzou/OU to the SEC discussions isn't it.

One of the worst flightaware moments for ISU was Pollard flying to Dallas to interview Chizik. We are still recovering from that one.

I think if the Big East could make it to 12 football teams, they would tell the non-football schools to find another home. You could easily see those schools in the A-10, CAA, or some other east coast conference.
