Yeah, like that massive fight they put up last year when we lost TWO schools
Why bother for one more?
If you can't see the difference between last year and this year, let me spell it out for you:
Last year, the conference was in factions - Mizzou, Nebraska, and Colorado looking out for their best interests, Texas, A&M, TT, Oklahoma, and OSU looking to join the Pac 16, previously with Baylor, then without them when Colorado beat them to the punch, and the Forgotten Four of ISU, KU, K-State and Baylor (after Colorado jumped them), and later Five after Mizzou got undercut by Nebraska. Last year you had no idea who was on who's side - it was basically every school for itself.
This year, it's A&M versus the rest of the 9 schools. You've had a bunch of idiots from down south implying that some combination of OU, OSU, and Mizzou are going to make the jump with A&M to join the SEC, but all you've heard out of Norman, Stillwater, and Columbia is DENY DENY DENY. All the other 9 schools have stated they are 100% committed to the Big 12. Last year nobody, including ISU (who had a viable scenario with the Big East), was 100% committed to the Big 12.
If you can't tell that this year feels completely different from last year, you aren't paying attention, which is why I'm led to believe something else is going on here.
