Well who really thinks BYU will join? Since ND said oh hell no big twelve and Pitt as well. Do you go after Air Force, Houston, and UNLV?

BYU will still have a chance to make a major move in the Big 12. I wouldn't be shocked by anything they do, but there's more money and better access to the BCS in the Big 12. And if things did go south again down the road, they're in a better position by virtue of being in a BCS league.

unfortunately Beebe has to sit and wait to see what the hell tammy does. I wish we could get a statement from ttechs president like a few days ago. Maybe everyone has been told to not say a peep about anything right now.

I really don't see what BYU has to lose by joining the B12. They keep their network and get more $$$ from the B12 contract. If things implode, they can go back to being independent, or join the Pac 10. Either way, they have nothing to lose, except in the B12 they are AQ.

I agree, seems like a big Opportunity for BYU for all of their sports. Football of course number 1, but playing in the WAC in other sports seems less than desirable for a school that wants to be nationally relevant. I can see them doing very well and definitely think they are the best team available that appears to have interest.

BYU is not in the WAC for other sports. They are in the WCC.

Doesn't look like a bad place to watch a game. There were a lot of positive comments from the UNI fans that went there a few years ago.

I don't know. Their scoreboard looks tiny. I can't respect that thing.

I wouldn't want a big scoreboard either if we had that view from Jack Trice. Who would want to block that view? What an awesome place to play a game.

If I lived out there though, I probably wouldn't go to any football games.... I'd be hiking and camping every weekend.

Because their version of John Walters says so?

Not buying it.

You really think BYU would jump WITHOUT some sort of assurance? They already burned the Mtn. West bridge. If the burn the WCC bridge, then Texas leaves, then BYU is looking at the Big Sky conference for Olympic sports.

They seem worried about that, but what mid major conference in their right mind turns down BYU at this point?

Why is anyone afraid Texas is going to leave? They are doing everything they can to keep the Big 12 together. No where else can they have the Longhorn Network or completely own a conference. And they aren't going independent. The only way Texas is leaving is if they absolutely have to. And that is the super-conference scenario in which its really every man for himself as far as the big 12 is concerned.

If all this has taught me anything, its the Texas is actually completely committed to making the Big 12 work.

This too.

Having said that, I do think they wouldn't join without some sort of assurances from Texas. But I don't think that would be the sticking point some are making it out to be.

This too.

Agreed. If UT wanted out, they have had ample opportunity. Yet, here they are.
