I guess the thing that would worry me most right now would be the fact that the conference commish is having conference meetings with all members EXCEPT UT, OU, & TAMU.
Bebee must think OU has already made up their mind if he's willing to hold a conference call and basically say "Beg Texas to stay, otherwise we're all ******!"
Wouldn't everyone agree the conference call last night reeks of desperation?
Very desperate. I think Beebe is the most desperate party not named "Baylor" in all of this.
I'm almost ready to gamble on the new Big East contract.
FWIW, I think the most likely scenario if OU leaves involves this:
-OU, UT, TTU, OSU in the Pac-16
-Mizzou in the SEC
-SEC stuck at 14, as the ACC seems unified and I do not think they are available for raiding.
-B1G staying at 12, as there is no longer a revenue maker (besides ND) available. Also, the B1G's track record suggests they will watch someone else try 16 and see if it works before doing so themselves, much like they did with 12.
-ISU, KSU, KU to the Big East, which now has 12.
My gut feeling tells me that one of ISU's non-con games in 2011 is a conference game in 2012.
