Didn't know that. Makes me feel better about our situation. Grassley and Harkin are some of the most-senior senators there are. Lots of power and connections in Washington.
Great find! ISU is well represented by these guys! I have a feeling they are getting the job done for us behind the scenes this time around as well.

I'm echoing the thoughts that things from the higher-ups just seem too quiet for the Big 12 going down like a burning Zeppelin. If things really looked that bad then there would have to be rumblings from the likes of KU, KSU & ISU on what the ramifications are. Baylor is skirting on the edge of being hysterical about the potential break-up and that is because I'm not really sure if they have anyone else to go with. The other four are clustered together which should likely leave them as partners in some sort as to where they go...
I have to believe that this is all turning out at least okay as far as ISU is concerned otherwise they should be a whole lot more stink being thrown about. If the dust settles and ISU somehow ends up a lot worse off (non-BCS) there should and likely would be a lot of complaining going about as far as how it was handled by JP/GG.

I would say that you're not missing much from that thread. There isn't a lot there to put anyone at ease. Just the body language of an older, big-wig doner.

Personally, I'd like to see if I can take them both on. If we turn independent, I figure I got a shot at this threesome and I ain't talking golf.
If this were to happen how ironic (for lack of a better word attm) would this be, the monster that ended up destroying the Big 12 is destroyed in the process.
