I would really enjoy watching the Nebby meltdown with Texas back in their face.

I just have to say that no matter what happens, it kind of sucks that leagues are exploding like this. Sure the Big 12 wasn't old, but the Big 8 was. I just can't imagine a time when OU and KU wouldn't play in basketball or us and KU. Or Texas and Oklahoma in football.

It's just plain sad.

I still think that the idea I've heard only a few times is the most interesting. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas and Iowa State to make the PAC 16.

The PAC 12 is the only game west of the Mississippi, so therefore it would be stable. The conference would have a good reason to want some teams to pair up with the western schools of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. And, unlike in the Big 10, we would actually add a bit of TV eyes to the conference. And, unlike the Big East, the conference would be stable.

Just to have the opportunity to have to watch Osborne at a press conference, swallowing back bile and stomach acid while cheerfully welcoming Texas into the Big Ten may be worth it

That is...if they haven't been working together all along! :wideeyed:

(Which one of these is conspiracy pirate?)

Multiple pages of pod scenarios of a conference ISU won't be in? WTF?

Ya, this whole thing is so stupid. If you have pods, expansion has gone too far. What is the point of having so many teams that you only play some of them once every 3-4 years?

Outside of $$$ TV footprints $$$, there is no point to this madness.

Hopefully we will all wake up tomorrow and the Big 12 will finally implode so we can stop worrying about this.

Still think there is some sort of chance the Big 12 stays together even if OU and OSU leave with A&M. Basically the remaining conference of Texas, Tech, Baylor, ISU, KU, KSU (and maybe missouri) stick together, keep some semblance of the TV contract and then entice over some teams from the Big East and some lesser schools to make a new look, watered-down Big 12. If Louisville comes over that would keep it as a legit basketball conference too. I don't think the remaining teams (except Missouri) would be too much of a flight risk. Texas could keep its LHN and have a good path to the BCS. Their strength of schedule could stay strong with the Red River Rivalry and even by keeping A&M on the schedule.

I agree that I'm tired of this ****, but I don't wish for the Big XII to implode. I hope for the TV idiots and greedy ###****$$*$ running some universities today wake up and realize what they're doing to college sports and college football in particular. And they're doing it for a fraction of what it is really worth. You can't put a pricetag on rivalry games like last saturday's game at JT. It's not too late to come back to reality...

So I was bored tonight so I checked to see where OU's airplane has been...and may have stumbled onto something.

Here is what I found:

KSU owned plane left Manhattan and arrived in Wichita at 2:46pm today. Then left for Manhattan at 9:48pm tonight.

Unknown plane left Napa Co airport in CA and arrived in Wichita tonight at 7:13pm and has not left.

Unknown plane left Austin and arrived in Wichita at 9:16pm tonight.

OU owned plane flew from Norman to Wichita yesterday, then to Dallas, then back to Norman today.

Could all of this be related? Wichita being some sort of clandestine meeting point?

It could be related but Wichita is home to Cessna and many other manufacturers of aircraft, so might want to take that into account as well.

Colonel Jaba (the hut?) is the one they are all going to...

Haha gotcha - they still in town? Any tail #'s I should be looking for on the way to the clinic tomorrow?

Seriously though, this is an aircraft city. It's what it's founded on...but is probably going to die trying to hold onto(another thread, another time for that topic...)

To see what's into and out of Colonel Jabara here in Wichita: http://flightaware.com/live/airport/KAAO

One from Austin, Napa Valley, MSP, Manhattan, and even Omaha.
