I think Stanford and Cal had some reservations about these schools joining the Pac 12.

Add Colorado to that who didn't sound pleased in their last interview and possibly Utah who wouldn't love being in an Eastern division with AZ/ASU/CU/OSU/OU/TT/UT. That would be enough votes stop this whole business.

I remember an old saying that goes something like: "An opinion is like an a-hole, everyone has one." Well, I've contributed 72 of them in this thread, I must spreadin' the poop real good. Of course, I don't compare to some of the posters on this monster.

How can you get a count of posts by a person in the thread?

If the Big East and Big 12 merged, would the conference still be the Big 12 so that ISU, KU, KSU, Mizzou, and Baylor get to split the exit fees?

OU board of regents just gave Boren power to do what's necessary regarding conference affiliation. This ****** seems familiar...

Edit: Why is s-c-r-i-p-t censored? I like to think of myself as a connoisseur of swear words, is this a curse that's just flown under my radar all these years?

I think Stanford and Cal had some reservations about these schools joining the Pac 12.

Especially regarding TT and OSU.

ESPN is the main entity driving this madness. They are throwing out all sorts of garbage hoping for realignment. Problem for them is they don't run Cal or Stanford. Plus there may be at least 2-4 other PAC schools that don't want this deal. Scott is in some very deep water now.

So there could be another major pause before the PAC announces anything. Which gives Boren and UT more time to figure out how to kiss and make up.

CU's president didn't want UT. Not TT (which I doubt he wants them either as the '4' will no doubt make CU's west coast visits a lot fewer) or OSU or even OU.

He has seen the carnage that UT can bring to a conference. ALTHOUGH, I'm not so down on UT at this point as NU, A&M and OU have all been there marching lock step with UT on all the things that weaken our conference...and then have thrown us all under the bus and blame UT on the way out the door.

Sure, UT is a pain in the ***...but they put food on the table. OU, NU, and A&M are a pain in the *** that steal the food and run off.

BTW...OU leading this search committee and then doing all of this may cause Baylor to sue as well (just my hunch). OU should have stepped aside or completed their fiduciary responsibility to the B12 and called all of the targeted teams. Pitt obviously wanted to leave the BE. OU's reckless need to be blown screwed up one of our best shots at expansion and very well could cost the B12 it's existence.

BTW2...toss 'Boomber' off this board please. My hate for OU was always plenty high...this recent back stabbing by those toothless jack ***** has pushed my disdain for them beyond the brink. The last thing I want to read on here is propaganda from that dip ****. If I want to know what a moron with a 45 IQ thinks I'll call up one of my tavern hawk fan neighbors. We don't need to be importing ignorance here.
