Have some confidence! ISU is going to destroy BYE this week. I can guarantee that BYE won't even score a touchdown.

I think they have a solid defense, though... haven't allowed a point all season.

Will be interesting

That is crazy that they have their own network - just amazing that they can pull that off. AND, it actually looks like a real refined and well-run station. Wish they would open it up to Big XII network, but we'll see what happens...

Don't kid yourself this is very much just ESPN Longhorn style. I have the network and it's an exact ESPN replica. It's operated with ESPN staff, analysts, etc. It's even in HD. I don't agree with the network existance necessarily, but if the network absolutely needs to exist, than I am happy to have it. It's another sports channel that has relevance to ISU and will have plenty of football and basketball programming. I will and have watched it. Much of it will be repetitive programming, but it will nice to watch replays of ISU beating Texas this season, and yes, recruits will be able to see the replays of ISU beating Texas again.

You see, this was what I was worried about. Their offense has been stagnant. Just hoping we can put a drive together without any turnovers.

Their offense is more confident with McCoy emerging at QB and their new Offensive Coord from Boise St getting comfortable with the schemes. They handled UCLA pretty good on the road and they will not forget the loss to us last year.
Well, either that, or UCLA royally sucks this year.

we need to kick some regent's butts and make woi part of the iowa state university again. it was the board of regents filled with the university of iowa hacks that forced us to sell woi. WE need to buy them back and get the university of iowa hacks off from the board of REJECTS!!!!!!

If we don't turn the ball over, and the refs don't screw us, which they will try to do. (Remember last year they tried to give it to Texas after we were mauling them.) Clones by 2 or 3 touchdowns. I don't think Texas has any idea what they are going to get come 6pm next Saturday. Set up is horrible for them.

First, I think both sides recognize that this will be a hard-fought game. After watching this young Texas team in action and behind the scenes (Longhorns All Access) they really appreciate the need to take it one game at a time. This is not the entitled group of players we destroyed last year. I definitely think they will head to Ames ready to play. And I think CPR will have our team ready to go as well. This is going to be a VERY interesting game, and I am hoping for some great football.

Second, the Longhorn network is awesome. Anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves. Any school that could pull this off, would. If we could have a cyclone network like this, I would take it no questions asked. Can you believe what it would be like to have All Access, Rewind, etc. type shows with CPR? Post-locker room speeches on national TV? Nothing sells a program better than this kind of coverage. Wish we had something like it. And I understand why they don't want to compromise on it.

Help me out on this --what exactly does the LHN have that ISU does not have or couldn't have? What do they have that CloneZone doesn't provide? Obviously, Texas has ten times bigger fan base, facilities, budget, recruit base, but what is it about the LHN that is 10 times greater than what ISU has?

- Not disagreeing, but I just don't understand this issue very well.

I think Mack has always had an affection for ISU, stemming from his days as an assistant here. I've always found him to have very kind words for us.

That's not the spin I got from the post-game rip he put on his team, about losing to Iowa State.

It's easy to be fond of your whipping post.

For **** sake, just make that Big 12 network. I would watch a B12 network every day! I watch B10 network a lot...and I hate the Big 10.

Just imagine how much money the Big 12 is leaving on the table by NOT having a network. They better get on it if they want to remain a top notch conference. Texas doesn't realize how important it is to build up your conference (ala Big 10) to make yourself look better.

Chip Brown Tweets: Mack Brown called 28-21 loss to Iowa State in Austin the lowest point of 2010's 5-7 season, "And there was a lot to choose from."

the final score wasn't an indicator of how dominated they were, it was just that ISU likes to keep it interesting 'til the end, that the score was within one TD.
