If you look at it stats wise he hasn't gotten the job done. We have been near the bottom of every offensive category in the three years he has been here. The amount of three and outs we've had are mind bottling. We're 83rd in the nation in the points for category with 24.2 pts scored per game and that includes the OT win vs Iowa. When you play in the Big 12 you HAVE to score points to win and we have not done that. Have you been happy with his performance?

I'd argue that our poor stats have more to do with a lack of talent than poor play calling, which is the only thing that Herman can influence. Mike Leach would have a hard time squeezing 20 points out of the players we have.

I think we got better as a football team today. We had a really terrible quarter after playing pretty well in the first quarter. The defense stepped up and came out fired up.

Horrendous middle 20 minutes of the game offensively really cost us as did a couple of really ill-timed mental errors and a very questionable pass interference which extended a key series and really cost us momentum.

The ugly final drive of the second quarter was a classic letdown by a gassed defense.

We had a bunch of unforced errors that were real drive killers . Dropped passes and more red zone false starts at really hurt us, and we're not talented enough to overcome that kind play.

Again, we got manhandled in the running game when the game was being decided. I give a lot of credit to A&M because I think their RBs are incredibly talented, but our rush defense is just horrible at times. First A&M tandem to go for 100+ yards since Baylor back in the 90s. Our rush defense continues to be a weakness. We didn't get enough pressure on Tannehill either, and they started to kill us with the deep outs against Reeves.

I think A&M was clearly more talented and they out executed us today also. It was good to see us play much cleaner on the turnovers, although we had a near miss on the Barnett fumble which White recovered.

Overall, I think we improved and I look forward to playing Tech.

Again, it's hard for him to "show you something" when you're not looking at the right measures. If you're using yardage and points as the sole metrics for how well an offensive coordinator is doing his job, you're completely ignoring the quality of the players and it creates an unfair assessment. It's about like handing one guy a spoon and one guy a shovel and asking them to dig a 6 foot hole; if the guy with the spoon isn't getting it done, it probably has more to do with using a spoon than having weak arms. Right now, Herman's got a spoon and a bunch of hotheads asking him why he hasn't been able to dig a 6 foot hole.

I understand you're frustrated with our lack of offense, and who isn't? But placing the blame for it squarely at the feet of Herman is dead wrong. It's perfectly fair to criticize Herman, but it's pretty easy to separate those who have legitimate gripes with the way he calls plays or the speed at which he operates the offense from the "bulls in a china shop" who are just angrily reacting to poor offensive production without dissecting it to really understand why it's poor.

somewhat correct but if Herman wanted Jantz to stay out there he would have...would've screwed our offense even more if Barnett was out there when Herman thought Jantz would be out there...different plays suit each QB better so it'd be confusing
