"it used to be my favorite topic, now it's getting old"

Gee, is that because ISUs future is much safer than it was months ago? He usually does a decent job being politically correct with Cyclone fans but he really let that one slip by. John Walters was correct about some of the local media

I agree with him . . this crap is getting old. If you need any evidence look at all the "supposed" events today. He is spot on. Let's just wait and see what happens.

Miller is the classic tavern Hawk....you might be reading too much into it today.

+1.

his arrogance can not be topped - even by his partner.

funny - he doesn't like the topic, but was a main topic when his show opened this fall - tuned in to listen to some iowa st/iowa talk during that week, and they talked expansion.

haven't been back since.

Actually no. If ISU's fate was still teetering towards peril he would have a hard-on even if expansion conversations went on for 5 years.

I thought you are supposed to seek medical assistance if it lasts for more than four hours. :v_SPIN:

I'm sick of conference expansion too. If it would end the conversation right now, I'd dump Missouri and add NW Missouri State.

What?! And pass on Minnesota State?

I can't stand to listen to Miller and Deace. What a horrible show. Not that it's just not about Big 12....Just because it has two of the biggest homers on this earth. Jon for Iowa, and Deace for Michigan. It's a horrible listen.

This isn't the first time that Jon Miller got tired of talking about expansion.

Last summer, there were rumors that Texas was heading to the Big Ten and they were going to be in the same division as Iowa. The same day he commented that he wasn't sure conference expansion was good for college sports.

Rarely listen to them. When I do, Deace does seem to defend ISU at least occasionally. Miller is a flat out hawkeye dreamer. His attempt to analyze ISU sports is unprofessional as it routinely turns into backhanded flattery. Referring to ISU as Iowa's "little brother" is also unprofessional.
Marty Tirrell refers to them as fatso and fruitloops.

Miller is an idiot.

He's like that kid that took an aptitude test when he was a junior in high school, and scored a 4. But he found the group that got 3's or below (see our friend rosebowl right above), and he became the leader.

When Iowa State was looking like we were in trouble, he led the *********** on his site. He protested over and over how Iowa State falling out of a BCS conference would not really hurt the state of Iowa, which is complete ********.

When it appeared inevitable that we were done, he had the flunkies that really jim jones idolize him, like scottie, play the role of the mason jar for him as he touched himself with absolute glee.

He is a sorry excuse for a "person" who spends more kneetime in front of kirkie the scum than anyone else. It speaks volumes about the lack of genetics that make up that fanbase that he is a leader of "hawkeye nation."

mikem I'm sorry that I wrote that on my phone and the spell check couldn't figure out intriguing... Why don't you stop insulting the intelligence fans of a school with better ranks academically... Yes, some hawk fans didn't go to Iowa and are dbags, and I'm not a big fan of them either.

Actually, it had nothing to do with your spelling, as everyone has their moments in the sun with that.

It DID have to do with that pathetic group think that exists in the family branch of hawkeyenation. You saying that miller doesn't want us to fail, is patently false. He gets all excited at the thought of Iowa State moving to a lower conference. He went on and on about how there would be no impact on the state, and Iowa State, if we were to lose our spot.

If you actually for one second think that the state would not be affected by realignment of Iowa State to a lower conference, you are wrong. It may excite you to no end, but the damage to the state would be fairly significant.

You can really see, and hear, the venom when his pet topics are challenged. It is sad that he has slithered his way to a position of prestige in your group. To talk about the Big 12 surviving would bring out that passive aggressivness that he tries so hard to hide. Of course he doesn't want to talk about it publicly, especially in the role of a radio talk show "journalist."

The sad part is that he has to know he is lying. If he doesn't, then he is a banjo playing idiot.

I don't think he is and idiot, he knows that there are a group that pleasures themselves to the thought of this everyday, so he plays to that group of "people."
