Does Alabama Deserve a Rematch???

I think OSU loses to OU and Stanford will lose to Oregon. Who gets in?
1 loss OU
1 loss Alabama
0 loss Boise State
I think OU gets in after beating the number 2 ranked team. Unless of course OSU wins, then they are definitely in after beating a top 5 OU team.

I really see virtually no way Boise St gets into the national championship game. It will take a perfect storm of losses by a large number of teams to get them in there.
That being said, I hope BSU doesn't get into the national championship.
I would rather see 2, 1 loss teams play for it rather than an undefeated BSU.
I also want to see how OSU's offense does against LSU's defense.
The comparison to U-M/Ohio State was brought up, similar situation.
I'll say the same thing I did that season: it's one of the BCS flaws. A rematch seems silly, because "the loser had its chance." But if everyone else in contention loses, too, and that team rises back up to No. 2 (based on the criteria within the system) — then it's unfair if that team doesn't get to play.
And like any other systematic problem w/ BCS, it isn't a "problem" as long as it isn't a problem.

The BCS formula was different then, and non-AQ teams didn't even make any of the BCS bowls. With what Boise State has done over the last five years, it will be really hard to justify keeping them out if they're the only undefeated team (or one of two) and a Georgia team that they beat easily wins the SEC.
I still say no on Boise State. They had 4 weeks before the season to prepare for Georgia and they get 4 weeks to prepare for teams every time they play in a BCS bowl. If you don't play with the big dogs week in and week out then you don't deserve to have a chance at being top dog in college football.
If Penn St loses out, which there is a good chance they will, Alabama will have just one win over a top 20 team, which will be the same number of wins Boise will have. Beating a decent Arkansas team at home isn't enough to deserve a spot in the title game.
Bingo. Why make the result of tonight's great game meaningless by having a rematch?
.. and that points to another flaw in how the system works. Or, more accurately, the catch-22.
Granted, it's a longshot that there would be a rematch in any season, but it still could happen. Key word: Could. (That's why I italicized it:smile
. If at the end of the season it was deemed Team A and Team B deserved to play for the title, it shouldn't matter if A & B already played. But if "every weekend is a playoff in college football," the regular-season meeting should matter.
Agreed. But say Stanford and OSU lose a game each, and somehow the rematch doesn't happen, if LSU wins you'll hear all of SEC, ESPN, and others ******** about the fact that it should have happened.
Playoff would solve all of this mess.
Until Georgia upsets Lsu and an 11-1 bama or 12-1 lsu team is left out of the playoffs and we have to hear everyone ***** about how the second best team in the country missed the playoffs. A playoff will create plenty of problems too.
