And the mother who noticed her son's hair was wet and discovered Sanduksy made him shower with him - instead of reporting it, she asks if their bodies were naked when they touched and makes Sandusky promise not to do it again ?!?!? That's your course of action? That doesn't set off a million and a half red flags? So many failures in this, it's incredible.

I have a feeling the conspiracy goes deeper..probably quite a few payoffs over the years..

Most likely the payoffs came in the form of free trips, tickets, gifts etc.

Didn't realize that the GA is still in the program now. I initially thought he was gone and was just really shaken and scared to report it to the authorities. Now I start to suspect that he probably chose to be silent because he really wanted to stay in the program. Now the next question: he's now the receiver coach, right ? Did he get the position based on merit or "merit" ?

+1. A message needs to be sent to college admin people for this case.

"Iowa State graduate and Penn State President, Graham Spanier is suddenly nowhere to be found.
Not a spoken word from Mr. President. Not a single interview with the media he once courted. Not a speech. Not a rally. Not a meaningful explanation to his students and alumni.

Penn State is desperate for a leader, desperate for some stability, desperate for an adult to stand up tall like the school always thought it would and Spanier is somewhere under a desk, hiding."

Matt Millen is really the lead PSU representive on ESPN?

He was a loser at GM and is a loser at trying to defend his alma mater.

It is being reported all over that JoePa is being shown the door. Various places are saying that it is still being figured out exactly how they are going to get rid of him. Obviously, they would prefer not to have to fire him, but I doubt that JoePa would resign.

I think this thing is rapidly devolving into a witch hunt. This many people weren't fired at Baylor when a coach used the violent murder of a player by another player to cover up recruiting violations.

I don't really think he was defending them, i think he was more in utter shock and disbelief. If he was defending them, i don't think that he would have gotten as emotional as he did.

That being said, this whole situation is SICK, who in their right mind would molest little kids.

My next question, who REALISTICALLY would want to go to Penn State after this whole saga?

Also, how freaked out are you if you are one of the SIX kids this family adopted? Even if he didn't do anything to any of them, that's got to **** with your head a ton.
Do you honestly think he did nothing to the adopted kids. I doubt it.

I agree, I am sure there will be a lot more than 8 and it probably go back to the 70's or earlier. Very sad that a person can get away with this in plain sight.

What is really sad is that every legitimate male out there trying to help kids in troubled environments is now going to be guilty until proven otherwise.

So are they going to get NCAA sanctions for all this? Or will the NCAA stay out of it?

It is not a violation of NCAA rules to molest a young boy in a shower. This is a law-enforcement situation, not an NCAA situation.

If I am not mistaken, Baylor got sanctions based on it's handling of the player that was murdered by another player.

There is no way that it was happening and the wife didn't know anything. I know nothing about it, but I would bet there are lots of pedophiles that don't touch their own kids. I guess I wouldn't be surprised at this point to here either story.

Not only are you not mistaken, but baylor was basically handed the death penalty by the NCAA in basketball.

Now cough up the smokes.
