Could the issue be that Sledge really isn't a PG (can't create shots for other players)? And do we really need a 5-7 SG? or another SG period.

It could be, I'm not very familiar with him pre ISU.

Now this would be a situation where you wouldn't want to give him playing time. I don't buy the other excuses right now. But even if he is just someone comfortable with bringing the ball down the court and then initiate the offense, it would be a good start. It's obvious that Scott & Chris aren't even comfortable at point and it's hurting their production.

I'm sorry I missed it, but what exactly did coach Otz say? All that was stated above was that they didn't feel comfortable playing him yet - that's a far cry from what you're stating.

He said something to the effect that next year they think they have done things to correct the situation. He mentioned how they're bringing in Naz and Lucious should take over. Then he said they won't ever put themselves in the same situation where they are without a point guard. I don't have it all exactly right but I think they'll have it up on Clone Zone by tomorrow so you can check it out.

He did mention Sledge for next year though. just said he was an option. However I don't see how Sledge stays. I hope he does though.

Can't believe we're 5 pages in and no one has even mentioned potential gains/losses on defense.
