With the recent addition of JJ Barea they now have a veteran PG in Minnesota. I am hoping Rubio can learn from him. I hope Derrick Williams can be a good player this year. Rick Adelman is now the coach and can;t be worse than Rambis. The future could be bright for the Wolves.

(I noticed other NBA threads and wanted to fish out other T'Wolves fans.)

Never the Wolves. I think they got the best player in the draft though.

They'll probably win it this year since their pick belongs to the Clippers (heading to the Hornets most likely, though). Good thing they got Marko Jaric in exchange for it....

All kidding aside, they do have a nice squad and the Jaric trade is something I'll never understand in the NBA, trading future unprotected picks for nobodies.

I'm fully prepared for another bad year of Minnesota Timberwolves Basketball, and yet, I'm fine with it because tickets are REALLY cheap!!

so who is the starting 5? Wesley? is rubio gonna play this yr?
Rubio looks to be the point guard by absentia but who knows what Adelman's plans are for JJ Barea, seems like the T-Wolves form of Bobby Jackson, Kings sixth man of the early 2000's, as one of the top backup pg's in the league....My guess could be Nikola Peckovic (SP?) With Beasley or Williams at the 3, Wesley Johnson has played the 2 as late as last year.... Love seems to be a Chris Webber-type with last athleticism...

I'm much more optimistic now that they picked up Barea. I think Rubio will need a couple years to get his feet wet.....he'll be going up against the best in the world every night now and needs some time to adjust. Barea is a good player with a lot of good experience (and a ring now), so putting him with the new guy Rubio is a good call IMO.

Adelman is a huge upgrade in coaching. The compressed schedule could be good for a deep young team like the T-wolves, they might be able to steal some games by simply having fresher legs than some veteran teams.
