..........Jews in upper management at Goldman Sachs...........
...............the NAACP...........
.....Chris Hitchen's bloated opinions.....
.......or goodness forbid, feverent Gay Marriage parades.

I seriously wouldn't complain about it. However, he probably wouldn't get ripped on for doing it because for some reason people aren't allowed to rip on Muslims for their strong faith, but they can rip on Christians all they want.

I am guessing your feeling as you read this is not the same as Tebow doing this. (I am not Muslim, BTW, and support everyone's 1st Amendment right to free speech/expression; just using this as an example.)

Well I'm not super ignorant and think every Muslim is a terrorist, or have a desire to be a terrorist, so it would annoy me the same amount that Tebow does.

I wouldn't say it's necessarily his fault for all the negativity. From my standpoint, I don't get annoyed with his display of religion (because it's really not that bad), I get annoyed with the constant stiffy espn has on for him.

If he wasn't constantly the center of attention on sportscenter, I'd respect him more.

Loved this skit though.

Pretty good stuff. Though do all the Tebow haters who hate on him because he brings up religion do the same thing to Kurt Warner who is just as much if not more public with his religion then Tebow, or because he is from Iowa he gets a pass from all of you.

Thanks for this and good to know. I was just posting the agrument Andy brought up on Soundoff last week. I don't have problem with Tim or Kurt but it seems like Tim is getting way more heat than Kurt ever did.

Kurt was on the Dan Patrick Show earlier this week and said his comments were taken way out of context. He stated that he never said Tebow should "tone it down." He said he would offer some advice to Tebow regarding how to handle it and that somehow turned into the media saying that Warner told Tebow to "cool it." Warner cleary stated on the DP Show that he loves how Tebow is handling all of this and that he doens't need to change anything. Warner referenced his own professing of his faith on the Super Bowl stage and said he wouldn't change anything.

And the heat is due to how each of them presents their call.
Each believes according to their faith that they are called to witness. Agree or disagree with their message, they are following their faith and convictions.

There are just less strident ways to let your faith show and witness. That is what Kurt is getting at.

Yeah, the whole thing with Warner was very unfairly twisted. It doesn't fit KW's character at all to criticize another QB, let alone another QB for his faith. If there's a true NFL legend QB vs. Tebow issue out there...it's from the guy in the Broncos front office. He might need to change his rhetoric a little. Elway owns Denver like few athletes own a city, it would be natural for him to be a little uncomfortable with the whole deal but it's time for him to come around and admit it's working at least on some levels now.

I am a Christian, and the thanking of god after wins annoys the hell out of me. It is insulting to think that god cares even the smallest bit about who wins a meaningless game. And like you said, if you thank god for the glory, you need to thank him for the defeats and shortcomings as well. You can't have it both ways.
