If Pelle signed then next year the team wouldn't lose a game. In fact, they would probably win by 20+ every night even against top ten teams. He is a potential number 1 pick in the draft (I can tell because I saw him dunk it and block shots). ISU would win the NCAA Championship and then be invited to the NBA to compete and go on to beat the Heat in the NBA finals. Most games they will probabably just starte Pelle by himself and let him go 1 on 5 just to keep in close (within 10 points) and then bring in the rest of the starting lineup to finish the teams off.

Hopefully this guy sees what Royce could do for him and vice versa. It's one thing to have a PG that can dish it...but another animal in itself when the other big can get you the ball like this. I should have worn a diaper today...

Somewhere in the U.S.
Can we please just quit with all the speculation (because that is all that it is) about what this might mean for the team makeup as to who might be leaving or whatever? Let's just have the confidence that the staff knows what is going on and leave them to handle things, just as we leave to them who they should recruit. All the speculation about other players accomplishes nothing good. If you think it does, then please tell us what good you think it does to speculate about current players, and please don't use the tired old excuse "it's a message board". So what does that mean.....that we should be stupid and just speculate about current players when none of us know anything for fact?

Anyway........I think this is great news. Not only because obviously he would be a great addition to the team, but because a player of his apparent abilities is interested in ISU.

Yep. If Fred has shown one thing this year, it's that he can find a way to make non-obvious pieces fit together. If Pelle comes in he'd have an embarassment of riches to work with next year, and I think we'd actually go 2 deep at every position.

5- Pelle/Gibson
4- White/Booker
3- Ejim/Clyburn
2- Babb/McGee
1- Lucious/Long

So I actually think Pelle could fit in pretty well, but guys like Niang, Okoro, SDW, Railey, Bubu, and Sledge would have trouble seeing the floor (although at least one would have to leave for the scholarships to work out, I believe).

Don't know about that. Chances are gibson would transfer along with railey and sledge. Think Gibson will actually start next year. If we got Pelle, think it would be..

1. Lucious/Palo/ (Naz would redshirt)
2. Babb/Mcgee
3. Clyburn
4. White/Ejim or Booker
5. Gibson/Pelle

Now your just being ridiculous, the Heat would probably beat ISU in the seventh game.

I can assure you of one thing. If royce leaves Fred won't be blindsided by it like some other coach was when his star player left.

How dare Cyclone fans be excited about our team next year....and being excited for a 6'10" center prospect that appears to play very similar to Kelvin Cato and also happens to have been ranked as the #1 C prospect with offers from KU, St. John's and others should be condemned.

After all, this is the internet and we should not get ahead of ourselves.

Most probably due to his academics history.

This. He's a great looking player on the court, but if he can't meet academic standards (remember a couple months ago when half the team was all-big12 in academics?) then I don't think he'll be able to make it work.

Okay, rose-colored glasses back on, people ;-) This would be an AMAZING get if we could make it happen...we all know CFH's record with turning kids around so far...why not one more?

I'd chip in a few bucks for a tutor.

Why would Gibson transfer? Even if Pelle doesn't come Ejim would still likely start over him, and he has to be aware of that. If there's no rumors about him being unhappy now, I don't think Pelle coming would affect things all that much, especially if Pelle looks like a 1-and-done, as Gibson would still be looking at a likely 2-years as a starter and upper-classmen leader of the team.
