It's not bad to say that some of us want Railey and/or Sledge gone. Railey may have gotten worse since his freshmen year and I think Sledge already has plans on leaving anyways.

It's Freds job to run people out if they are not going to contribute and win games. I want big 12 championships and final fours and to be able to compete with the best year in and year out. Railey isnt going to cut it but Pelle will.

I thank Railey and if speculations on Sledge leaving as well for giving their time to Iowa STate. I just think that some of you need to realize that in order to win these are the players we need to do so!

in addition, they may realize after a year or two that they are not big 12 caliber, but are still good players than can play somewhere else (see Eikmeir at Colorado St this year).

While Royce has obvious extreme gifts and talent - it seems to me he has to work on his offensive game before the NBA would take him high. Does he not have to develop a shot away from the basket for the NBA? Seems obvious to me that Fred would tell him he's better off developing his game another year - being next year's Robinson - and then making the jump. I could be way off.

I was starting to wonder if I was the only person to think Royce NEEDS another year. He has to develop a medium-range jumper. He has already proven that he can put in 30+ minutes a game, his court vision is unreal, and he is dangerous on the low post or driving to the hoop. His talents are insane, but I think another year in college would let him grow into a very high draft pick. He poses such a matchup problem for guys in college, but the NBA is a level and a half above Big XII competition. If he can get a 10-12 foot jumper in his arsenal he would be unstoppable. I'm sure Fred is telling him his ceiling is much higher if he stays around for just 13 more months.

I think almost everyone in the NBA can shoot. Not everyone is asked to score per se but you have to be able to consistently shoot and make the ball away from the basket. That seems to be Royce's only issue (without getting into the FT's). I'm sure the NBA is drooling at the thought of him for the reasons you mention. BUT, without that mid-range ability it lessens everything else. IMO. Not even selfishly I think he stays and gets better and goes really high next year. Like top 5 high. IMO.

Oh My God... Yes please! And i realize he is only visiting but if he does commit to ISU and he has his head in the right place, he will start center from day 1, no doubt. This dude is a program changer and a true center with a defensive presence. And this doesnt mean Royce is leaving, fred just knows we need a true center to get to the next level. And royce is not a center, he is a power forward. And for those of you that think he wouldnt start over ejim, imagine Ejim off the bench, he would be just like mcgee but a big man. MY god we would be a top 10 team. Please commit Norvel!

Think of our likely bench if we land him. Ejim for the big guys, Mcgee for the smaller guys. Ejim is a great starter but he is also great off the bench as well. Then you have Booker, Naz Long (most underrated recruit IMHO) Niang, BuBu...the list goes on!

Watch NBA warmups. They hit shot after shot after shot after shot. Even the ones who "can't shoot".

Maybe Royce does the same in warmups, I haven't watched. As as of today he is zero thread outside of 10' and those long mothers would eat his lunch. He has trouble with long guys inside in college but his perimeter ball skills make up for it at this level.

I really see this guy as insurance if Royce leaves or a huge bonus if Royce stays, that being said i think Royce will stay. Don't know how the kid feels about ISU but we got lucky with being able to make it to this game, where the atmosphere will be awesome.
