I don't think technically. All of the standing room only seats were student season tickets that were sold, but the students haven't been showing up. So they double sold the tickets. I suppose if the students had shown up there would have been a lot more standing.

I also heard that they told the students in Cyclone Alley to squeeze in a lot of people.

Yeah, no assigned seats. Just GA limited to the sections of the East balcony above the normal student section.

We got there about 45 mins before tip and the east balcony was already 60% full (more people than had been in that section (possibly combined...) for most of the season).

Thanks to whoever didn't use their parquet seats so we could.

And it was bull **** there were people standing in the concourse with CA shirts on. SRO tickets should've been booted from upper CA before that happened. Once the game tipped off I can see letting all the SROs fill empty upper level seats but students having to stand when they have real tickets is crap.

Well deserved retribution. Maybe next year the students will get their **** together.

**** that, they should have gotten there earlier if they didn't want to stand.

Students owned a ticket for a seat and standing room only people owned a ticket to stand. Shouldn't matter who got there first.

Should have to get there earlier to be able to sit in seats they paid for? I'm sure that would go over great if we did that in the parquet sections too

I'm taking parquet seats next year. I mean, yeah I won't have the ticket for them, but I was there first!

My ticket said GA Sec 220-224.

I didn't know this, I thought the tickets were SRO as everyone else had described. And I wonder why they had consistently been described as SRO's.

If you had the ticket for it, then more power to you.

They were described as SRO because if everyone would have shown up, there would have been standing room only.

I did laugh when I saw some students come up to the SRO section 2 minutes into the game. Couldn't find a seat. You damn right, life lesson...show up early ruhtards.

The SRO section was a fantastic idea... maybe I was a bit biased, but I felt like it was vastly different than any other non-student I've had in Hilton to date. Maybe it was just the overall atmosphere of the game, but I felt like the older folks sitting with us were a lot more willing to stand during the game.

When I was in college, I had a job (and other obligations) and sometimes had to show up right at the start of a game (football or basketball) or a little after in order to make it.

Just because someone shows up late, doesn't mean they chose to.

Had the front row directly behind the basketball hoop in the SRO section and got lots of looks from student with CA shirts on..

In the famous words from my dad "Tough ****" you should have gotten there earlier. ***** all you want but if you would have shown up to the games earlier this season students, they would have never even done the SRO for this game...

This is the same argument the student section made after the found out that the Texas game wasn't included on your student season ticket....

It was done because you wouldn't have shown up!!!
