We have to face it boys we are NOT that good of a team....

Just like losing to drake high school when we dont hit our threes we cant beat a good high school team its just that simple....

Conclusion...Texas is a helluva lot better team than what we are and if we ever want to win another conf tournament crown we need a lot better players or else recruit some guards who travel and drive to the basket on every play....

Rick Barnes outcoached us something fierce....

At least your keeping this game in perspective

Didn't play well, missed way to many open 3 pointers, too many turnovers, no love from the refs. To be honest I still think we end up as a 7 seed and we get to rest. I'm ready for Thursday or Friday, think we bring the BOOM.

Well looks like we played into the 8-9 matchup with this ****** performance. Lets all hope to god we don't have Syracuse or Kentucky in the same bracket or we're completely ****ed. Oh thats if we can even win an 8-9 matchup.

For a couple minutes, Royce/Melvin combo looked good. We just didn't play the way we are capable with lots of bad turnovers and let them have too many chances on the offensive side.

In hindsight, would have we rather have had KSU today? Who knows...

One positive for the future. Gibson is a stud. Wow... what control for a freshman. He has the potential to get even stronger. He's already calm and hits a very high percentage of his shots. He's got excellent control and doesn't hesitate... just takes it to the rim like a big guy should.

Wow.. can't image the impact he will have over the next 3 years. While White is better... Gibson is a true center... something we haven't had in a long time.

I'm really excited about his potential. Crazy good.

Bad performance. Not horrible reffing, just horribly inconsistent reffing
I agree, but can someone please explain to me why the refs didn't call J'covan Brown for a lane violation on every one of his free throws? He steps across the line and lands on the other side before the ball is even close to touching the rim on every one of them. Maybe that isn't the rule anymore, but if it is and you have more technology skills than I do, take some still shots of a replay of the game on his free throws and post them and you can see what I mean.

You can move once the ball leaves your hand.

Allen dribbling last possession off his foot summed that game up nicely. We p'd it down our legs and didnt' come ready to play.

I think we had balls dribbled off our feet than Texas had turnovers.

sadly this is true. I mean it's bad enough we had that many turn overs, but how many of them were REALLY BAD. off the feet, stepping on lines, trying to force passes that aren't even close to being there.

Just have to look at O rebounds and turnovers and pts off TO's, there is no way we should have even been in that game. Side note Rick Barnes is funny and has the quote of the year.

Maybe this team was a little too relaxed going into it. Gave up a lead in the first half, then gave up a lead in the second half. It was like they didn't really want it.

Recipe for ISU loss......5 for 20 from 3 point range. Way too many fouls. When the refs are being bad....you have to adjust. Royce took 15 shots. If Royce takes less than 12 shots in a game.....ISU is undefeated this year. Like 20 and 0 or something. When he takes more than 12, they usually lose.

Sometimes this team just seems to cocky to me. Sure they had a couple of good wins this year, but they also had some pretty bad losses. Truthfully, they haven't accomplished all that much yet, but sometimes they sure act like they have, and maybe as fans we feed that sometimes.

Maybe next year. Not impressed with ISU at all tonight.

Texas needed that win, we didn't. Simple as that. Step away from the ledge, we have a far more important game coming up next week.

Bull ******* ****. If our guys think that we don't need to win ANY game then I'm done being a Cyclone. You approach every game like it is a must win so don't tell me that we didn't need this win.

Not mad, but this was poor. Very poor. No panick, just have to learn from this. Freddy and the players both.

They play like an NBA team, think they can coast for 3/4 of the game then play and pull it out against a clearly inferior opponent. Awesome at times, just pityful and lazy at others. Awful effort, just awful and they should be embarrassed. Texas has no business, none, zero...zero business even competing with this team. As proud as they should be last week they should be equally mortified tonight.

Freddy too, was outcoached tonight as well. He should feel just as bad.

the only hope is they remember this and play like crazy next week. problem is, you probably got a number 1 waiting for you if you can squeak by a 9 seed. Issue is this has been the problem all year, major lapses of effort for no explicable reason.

Whole game I thought the effort was lacking, you can't beat anyone with a "roll it out on the floor" effort, and that is what we got. Pityful.

Hope we can handle a 9 seed, casue that is what we looked like. An mediocre 8 seed that might win a game and then get beat down by a 1, when we all know they are much better.

ya, can't blaim it on the refs, we sucked ***.

I disagree about the refs. No question we played like we were entitled to win this game and played flat, but the fouls were 10 to 3 in the first half in favor of Texas and we were drawing all kinds of contact around the rim but couldn't get a call. 2nd half wasn't quite as bad, but they missed a load of travels. Yet, we could have and should have won even with the s****y reffing, but we had no passion to get it done. So let down right now.
