Does he come in and replace Royce White? or will Georges see the floor as a small forward cause he can really shoot the deep ball well [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELNz7xoLGUE&feature=youtube_gdata_player"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELNz7xoLGUE&feature=youtube_gdata_player[/ame]

Can't expect him to come in and replace white, but he will be a very good player for us. I think he will be a good producer for us next year off of the bench as a 4.

he kind of reminds me of a Jess Settles/Greg Brunner type player, maybe not the most athletic but very skilled and quick around the basket. I like to see the range, him, Gibson, Booker and Ejim will be fine next season.......although 1 more big would be nice incase someone gets hurt.

The Big 12 have alot of post players coming in next year and Niang is not much of a shot blocker on the defensive end which is why i was wondering if he would be playing the 3. A college weight training could help him make that transition

When I watch him, Adam Koch comes to mind as well.

Now before people go ballistic, I hope Niang is better than Adam but the style of play is similar.

I love that he has an outside shot but can drive to the hoop. This guy will be a great 4 next season.

So you're saying Georges will have an 8-yr Cyclone career, riddled with redshirt, medical redshirt years, and muscle/acne/back problem issues?

No, I think he's saying that he will have a premature receding hairline.

Good moves for players his size. My guess is if he works hard he can really benefit from a better weight lifiting program.

Stay ripped my friend.

I love how he capitalizes on his 3 point shooting acumen to get to the rim. I foresee him getting offensive fouls called on him as Big 12 players slide in front of him after he has left the floor.

When I reread that second sentence why did I hear it in Emperor Palpatine's voice?

I'm excited about our front court with Niang, Ejim, and Percy, but I will feel a lot better if we can add one more post that is 6'9"+ with a lot of physicality

My Cyclone hope HOPES that by the time he's a Sophomore... that he's put on a ton of muscle, up to the 250 range or better in weight, and has somehow grown an inch to be 6-8 :)

He's clearly not that athletic. But he's clearly crafty and just "makes shots." He's going to be the guy that always outworks the other team. Opposing fans are going to dislike him a lot because he won't look athletic when he does a post move or drive to the basket, it will look like he's throwing up crap, but it'll go in.

Not sure what kind of "ceiling" he has, but Freddy is pretty excited about him, and that makes me excited.

Maybe this video just isn't showing it, but I thought he had a variety of moves in the paint. This was all threes and dunks.

Georgesfan, how long ago did Georges stop growing or is there a chance that he might still get taller?

Here try this. His post moves are pretty well developed. He still can improve but he has more than one or two unlike a lot of bigs coming into college. He definitely likes to go baseline.

One thing that I noticed is that he doesn't elevate to much on his jump shot. Hopefully he doesn't get blocked to much. But I'm pumped he's coming, he will have a great career at The Iowa State University!
