I was the only person of my immediate family (mom, dad, older sister, brother-in-law, younger sister) who did not attend this game as I'm working on my master's at Ohio State. I watched the first half at home excited for the game, but not really expecting what we were soon to witness. In fact, at one point in the second quarter, our cable went out and while I was unhappy, my roommate (a Mizzou alum) said to me "How in the world are you not freaking out right now?"

We left at halftime to head to a friend's party where the game was on in the living room full of strangers. I was THAT GUY who was huddled over the TV for the entire second half and OTs, reacting to every play with excitement and disappointment.

As the fourth quarter rolled on, the people in the room started taking notice to my excitement and started paying attention to the game. When Woody crossed the goal line, the room erupted and I started high-fiving and hugging a room full of brand new Cyclone fans who instantly offered me plenty of cold beverages to kick off my celebration.

As the night went on, I held nothing back in my celebration as we bounced around the bars of Ohio State. As we we driving home, I was embarrassing my roommates by leaning out the car window screaming "CYCLONE! POWER!" down Columbus' equivalent of of Welch Ave which happens to be about 5x as big.

It was an incredible night I will always remember. While I wasn't able to be there, I feel it was my part of Cyclone Nation to be out there making new fans.

I was in the Philippines for work. Had just got home from the office, it was Saturday morning there. Had been there several weeks and had yet to see an American football game or highlight on any of the hotel tv channels, so I was scrambling trying to find the game on the web. Due to connectivity problems I gave up, thinking I was just going to miss the game. Flipped on the TV and to my amazement, ESPN Asia was broadcasting the game.

Really felt a long ways from home that day, especially after we won and there was no one to celebrate with or that even acknowledged the win.

Pretty sure the hotel staff thought I was crazy.

I am a southie who sits right next to an aisle so my daughter and I were standing in the aisle holding hands ready to run. There was just something magical about those last moments that I just knew, I just KNEW it was going to happen. As far as national exposure, I was with my family at Shiloh National Military Park in Tennessee looking at souvenirs in a gift shop. The guy running the gift shop saw my ISU hat and asks...were you at the game? *huge grin on his face* He didn't even mention OSU. He knew I knew which game he was talking about. I of course say yes and he asks all about rushing the field and talks about how amazing that game was. Very cool.

Moved to Arkansas the year before. This game was the night before opening day of duck season. Had a good feeling about it an brought isu gear for all my razorback buddies. Drank so much don't really remember all the details but the night ended with on of my new friends burning my best is shirt because we couldn't stop arguing about how overrated the sec is.

Better to argue the night before, when you're not all holding shotguns. It was just a shirt. Yes, the SEC is overrated. It won't surprise me to see MU or aTm do well.

Did you kill any ducks if you drank so much you don't remember?

Fun topic....great idea!

One of the best things about the last couple of years is that since my sisters are in the marching band, my parents have gotten season tickets for football for the first time ever. It has been so much fun to have my parents and sisters along with my brother at the games. We've had a lot of fun seeing some really great games, including the Iowa game last year.

Anyway, for this game, my mom wasn't able to attend and I had been debating on whether I should just stay home because I had several college friends coming to stay with me the next day. But in the end, my pride in not skipping games (and not leaving early) made my decision for me.

I remember arriving at Jack Trice and thinking it seemed like a ghost town. I thought the crowd was going to be terrible. I remember listing to the radio guys interview Blaise Bryant (the first football player I remember liking).

Anyway, I was just hoping we could keep it close for a while and I was pretty pleased with the 1st half. I was beyond thrilled we were in it in 4th quarter. After we tied it up, I realized that it would hurt if we lost!

The OT's happened in endzone closest to us and they were a thing of beauty. I teared up and just stood there taking it all in. Eventually, we made it to the field where all of my family (2 separate seating locations and the band members) met up. We called my mom and discussed the game with her. She told my Dad to stay up all night :)

I had the option of staying and eating out with the rest of my family, but suddenly after the game I was so tired and wanted to get home in order to make sure I could DVR the replay. Of course, I got home and couldn't think about sleeping, so I watched the replay and eventually fell asleep afterwards. Got up early without a voice and exhausted.

As an aside, a big part of our family's Thanksgiving was watching the game and all of the post-game coverage that my mom had DVR'd! And I've watched the 4th quarter of the game in all of its variations (the espn broadcast, the clone zone radio feed, the clone zone video with the radio guys, etc) many, many times. And my heart never fails to sink when Oklahoma State takes the field goal and I never fail to tear up when Woody rumbles his way into the endzone.

I took off work that Friday and slept in. Woke up and watched Rocky and Miracle on FX and I just had a feeling something special was gonna happen that night. Drove over to Ames and started tailgating around 2. I ended up super drunk and just remember being in a 7 person mosh pit to Rhiana's We Found Love down in the student lot.

I don't remember much of the first half, but I snuck into the student section and I was sitting with a bunch of my buddys. I started to sober up at halftime and I seriously considered saying **** it and leaving to get hammered, but decided to stay. After the onside kick I knew ISU was gonna play with OSU until the end. You just felt the entire stadium energy change. I'll never forget how Sandstorm just kept building in the TV timeout before the onside kick. The whole stadium was rocking.

The whole 4th quarter and OT was a blur as the student section was so loud. Once Benton got the INT, I grabbed my roommate and started shaking him while screaming "THIS IS HAPPENING! THIS IS HAPPENING!" The whole student section started sliding down to the field at that point. Woody ran it in and chaos exploded. Ran onto the field and lost track of all of my buddys. Sang Sweet Caroline and hugged every person I met.

Went to Outlaws after an hour on the field and started drinking heavily again. Everyone at the bar was just buzzing about the game. I eventually drove back to CR to catch Gameday on Saturday morning. Overall it was an unforgettable day.

I was at a hotel out of the state with students from every Big 12 school for a conference. We were traveling back to the hotel together as the game began and I asked an Oklahoma State student for an update from his smartphone. He let me know that Zach Guyer had missed a field goal, and I figured "Here we go."

I got to my room and started watching the game with my roommate. Pretty uneventful, I was just glad we were keeping it close. When it got to 24-7, I remember thinking that if OSU scored again, it was pretty much over. But ISU went down and got a TD, and then things really got serious when we recovered the ensuing onside kick!

Eventually, when the game really got close, every student at the conference from ISU was piled in our room watching. When Barnett threw the INT at the end of the game to set up OSU's field goal, I felt like my stomach had fallen through the floor. Sharp's missed FG attempt, on the other hand, felt like the room exploded!

Eventually, ISU won and we all just pretty much went ape ****, running through the hotel and heading to the lobby. Lots of other schools' students were there, and many couldn't believe what had happened (in a positive way). I remember the OU ones were the only ones I could find who weren't happy because they had wanted to ruin OSU in the following week at Bedlam.

The OSU contingent had left the hotel to watch the game, but when they got back we were still in the lobby celebrating... it was an interesting interaction between us. Nothing too heated, and they were really gracious in defeat. It was fun, though!

Wish I could have been at JTS, but I'm still glad I got to watch.

I've sat in the bleachers for 43 years, cheering on my Cyclones. Words simply cannot describe how I felt when Woody crossed the goal line..... (And yes, my spouse and I are somewhat older; but, we stormed that field.)

I watched the game alone on the 42" Sony Plasma all by myself. I get so dang nervous it's easier that way. 2011 was a good year for Cyclone football.

Did you say hi to my brother-in-law at the jail in Boone? I heard they let you guys watch OT in the booking area because of "good behavior".

No I went to Story County at about 1 AM. Everyone in the cell was passed out when I got there. When people started waking up at about 5ish, we (about 15ish guys) started sharing our stories of how we got there to each other.

The best part was that many of the guys in there arrived before halftime of the game and just assumed we had lost. There is no other sight like that of seeing someone wake up in a jail cell, not knowing how they got there, screaming "WAIT WE WON" so overjoyed about fact we got the victory that they didn't yet even realize they were in jail.

The one person I did find was my cousin who is a drum major in the marching band. He is the one on the ladder.

One of my favorite things to watch on the ESPN broadcast is when OSU misses the FG, your cousin jumping up and down while still on the ladder.

Has anyone seen the print at the framing store in Valley West Mall that's similar to the poster? The whole thing is in black and white except for the scoreboard, a single "All In" towel a fan is holding facing the camera, and the very front of the drum major's uniform. It's yours for only $120. I so want that for Christmas.

I was watching it with my girlfriend at home. Mainly I was thinking that it would be amazing to win, but it wasn't going to happen. I think my jaw hit the floor when Benton got the pick in OT. Then I had a smile on my face as Woody barreled into the end zone on that last drive. Couldn't stop smiling the entire night.
