Kyle Washington is working on a visit to Ames per Ames Tribune/ Travis Hines from Brewster HC/ Jason Smith

Yay! go Otz/ Fred!

Looking at tweets, it appears that Georges Niang knew about this visit before it was announced...

That is great. I heard a while back that we cooled on him and he was looking elsewhere. Would be great to land this guy, much needed down low.

Where is the heck did you hear that????? He has been one of our top targets all year and never once did the coaching staff say we were "cooling on him" He is a great player and would be an awesome fit in Freds system. Athletic strong 6'8 big with good skill set would go very nice with Monte and MT. Throw in Hasan Martin and Zeigler and look out easy top 10 recruiting class. I really like how hard and well this staff recruits and the excellent players we are after.

Awesome news! He wouldn't be committing to the good guys if he doesn't come for a visit...so we still have a chance

Well, there was about a 6 month period where Washington didn't mention us at all in any of his updates. Most of assumed that we had either cooled off on him or he wasn't looking at us anymore. Obviously something has changed.

This. Someone said on here that Washington didn't seem interested and was really into Georgetown and a few others. Like I said, very happy that info was a bust.

Side note: the TR sports section in Mtown sucks since Travis Hines left. Got a new Hawk fan in his place that wrote in the paper he cheers against the good guys.

I don't know how old this is but I just saw Rashad Vaughn lose to Connor Frankamp in the UnderArmor 3 point contest. Vaughn looked prett good but I hate to say Kansas is getting a damn good shooter

Rashad Vaughn was in the 3-point contest last night at the UA Elite 24 in California, lost to the KU commit Conner Frankamp as someone else above mentioned. Frankamp is one of the best pure shooters in the class, so it's no surprise here however it is good to see Vaughn up there in the finals with him. As a side note, it sounds like Matt Thomas was invited to participate in the 3-point contest, however Wisconsin HS Athletic Association doesn't allow that to happen based upon some of their rules.

Got some other good news that will be out in a few minutes, might want to be looking for someone on campus this weekend...
