I think Clone fans are more worried about this being at the almighty Kinnick and Iowa's "tradition" then they are the actual 2012 Hawkeye football team. Based off what we saw in Week 1, there is no doubt ISU is the better team, but how often has that played out in this game? Im going with the Clones, but nothing will surprise me.

I think you have to take any sort of Steele Jantz analysis with a HUGE grain of salt. You almost have to throw out anything after UConn because of the foot injury so that leaves you with a sample size of three home games, one road game, and one neutral site bowl game. What kind of patterns can you really take from that. Guy is still a mystery.
I agree fully with this post, you just never know what you are going to get with Jantz. Good game against Tulsa and Iowa, the rest of his starts home and away have been frustrating and average to below average performances. If he puts in two consistent games, he has me sold.

Whoever wins the turnover battle and runs the ball effectively will win - that's my prediction

Hoping for a Cyclone victory!

For what not thinking ISU will win? We have not won there forever, even though I think this is our best shot, I don't see us winning. I hope I am wrong.

Should have included jimlad I guess.

I was just trying to be funny since you were the first predicting an Iowa win.

The only question is if Iowa can run the ball effectively. If they can't - look out - but let's say they can and stay in the game as a result.

ISU 26
Iowa 19

After struggling to get the ball in the end zone for 3 quarters, the Cyclones finally break through late. ISU 24 - Iowa 17.

Jantz on the road has been less than impressive. While I believe Kinnick is hostile, the game at UConn and Mizzou were pretty hostile themselves. I think the defense is too good and keeps us in it, but Vandenberg is at home and Iowa wins 28-24.
Wow, u are a downer.... I just feel something different this year, I know there has only been one game, but I feel like this team has something special to show us, it continues on Saturday!!!!!!

Turnovers, as always, will be key. Even TO margin or better, and I think we win. We may be able to withstand a -1 margin depending on where the turnover(s) occur, but ball security will be key.

I'm probably drinking the Kool-aid here, but I'm going with 31-17 ISU.
