They also got WVU as their next game. The old geriatric **** won't have them overlooking us though.

What do you think the line will be?

+5.5?

And Skeletor won't even recognize it.

He's used to change though. If you get him going he'll tell you what ames was like back when he was the young age of 83 and velociraptors roamed the region.

I would think higher than that. This will be a top 5 team coming in. I'll say it opens at KSU -7.5. So, it would be somewhere around KSU -11 on a neutral site and somewhere around KSU -14.5 or so in Manhattan.

Very easily could be more than that.

Big news, CyclONE Nation fans! Dlew will be making his triumphant return to Ames, Iowa, the first since 2007 :)sad:) the second since 2003 :)v_SPIN:). In the spirt of the rivalry, I'm going to be dawning my 10 gallon and FINEST Carhartt (Christmas 2009 version).

K-State will be favored by 6.5 imo. Is K-State the better team? Clearly. If the game was played on paper, would K-State win by 30? Undoubtedly.

But folks, in a rivalry game of this proportion, you can throw the records out.

LOL.
Also, it's not that big of a rivalry yet. Players from both sides are going to go out there like its another Big 12 game.

OMG!! Is there a win we would much rather have?? NO..

I want this so bad.

If i had to pick any team on the schedule to beat... i'd actually go with OU as we've beaten them 1 time in the last 50 years, and none at home in that time span. (5-69-2 overall record). To put that in perspective, i'm close to 28 and neither of my parents were born the last time we won in Ames.

But KSU comes a very close second.

I know the record against OU is awful, but they just don't get under my skin like K-State.

Hey Cyclone fans, great win yesterday! I was delighted with the way you welcomed TCU to the Big 12. I'll see you at Jack Trice on Saturday with purple next to my heart and cardinal on my cap. No, I will not be jumping and screaming for either team. My cardiologist has given me permission to attend the game but has told me that I must remain relatively calm. Let's all enjoy a great game between my two favorite teams both playing at their very best!

I would tend to agree with you, although if you let me pick one game that ISU would definitely win from here on out, I would go with WVU since it'll be Senior Day on national network TV and they'll likely be ranked very high. OU would be a close second, and K-State a very close third. Texas would come in at 4th.

I have a very strong desire to beat KSU. It is the game this year I really want us to win. I watched the KSU/OU game and two things stood out. KSU controls the LOS. We must do great on the line. OU turned the ball over instead of scoring points. We cannot turn the ball over. If we get a lead early in the game, like KU did to them, our defense is good enough to make it a long day for purple kitties. KSU has a habit of starting games slow on offense. Against OU, they did nothing with their first 3 possessions. If they start slow and we get on them early, that is the best recipe for a CYCLONE victory.
