I was thinking they would be added to the group. The white guy seems like a bit of a loose cannon but the black guy didn't seem too bad. Thought the only prisoners that needed to die were the leader and the little black guy. Those two seemed dark right from the start. The other three, not so much.

I agree. Dave Chappelle and Andrew WK look-a-likes had hair triggers.
The huge black dude that was killed was a big baby.
The other 2 seemed fine, especially the other white guy that was trying to compromise with Rick.

Any thoughts on Rick slamming that door and leaving the guy who ran to die? That's the first moment where you can really start to question whether Rick was justified in taking an action or not. It was pretty obvious that he had to kill the one dude, but just serving the little guy up as zombie dinner was pretty cold hearted. I wonder if that moment might provide a little crack in the armor of badass, super-pragmatic Rick.

I'm pretty sure the little dude aka Dave Chappelle was Edward Norton's racially diverse prison buddy in American History X. It's too bad he didn't stick around a little bit longer, a'ight.

I love this show...quite honestly there needs to be other shows...like Walking Dead Las Vegas, Walking Dead Dallas, Walking Dead Detroit (which could be done cheap...just go shoot downtown Detroit, it already looks like a zombie apocalypse).

FTR...I would kick so much *** in a zombie apocalypse...it makes me sad that I'll probably never get the chance. : (

I thought he did the right thing. Who knows what he would have done if he allowed him to live. He was already a threat so I don't see any problems with taking out a threat, especially in a time like that. Of course, he could have shot him in the head instead of allowing him to be eaten alive. Also, just minutes earlier Lori basically told him to do whatever it takes to protect their group, even if it involves killing people. If she doesn't say that, who knows, maybe Rick would have allowed him to live.

I just wanted to see if this would work. Thanks for going on this adventure. Also, TWD rocks. Good night.

I'm not sure that's Merle in the woods.

Spoiler! (on my phone, can't insert actual spoiler)

On "Talking Dead", they showed a preview from next week with Andrea in a car, blindfolded, being driven in a car to the town with her vision a little blurry. (one eye wasn't completely covered) Her head is leaned up against the window, and when she turns to her right, you see a blurry Merle put a finger to his lips in a shushing gesture.

But was the guy really a threat? At least any more so than the 2 prisoners that are still alive? I got the impression that he just freaked when he saw the guy get brained with a machete. I'm not so sure he was actively planning on harming Rick's group like the Tomas dude was.

I love that they changed enough on this show from the comic that I still have no idea what happens next. They definately didn't just smoke all the prisoners like that but rick had a somewhat similar moment with the leader in the comic as well. Great episode.

I thought Rick was going to take out Tomas, but I thought it could be awhile........obviously not.

It seems like they might be "settling in" at the prison for a little while, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get a heavy dose of Andrea/Michonne and the new town or whatever it is. I can only imagine the story lines are going to collide at some point since Andrea mentions in a preview that she was with a group of people.

I hope so because I don't want to see two separate storylines for very long. It will just slow things down too much.

Yes and no. They could move the storyline in the prison along right now fairly easily while showing what is happening to Andrea and Michonne. It might be a decent way of avoiding some of the more boring scenarios that were aired while they were on the farm.

I thought that scene was a pretty big one as far as Rick's character development. Rick really don't know if that guy was a threat or not, definitely not worth chasing the guy through a zombie filled prison in the dark. But Rick is a lot less concerned with the doing the "morally" right thing this season and he is more concerned about doing whatever it takes to keep the group safe.

Yeah, they could introduce us as viewers to Woodbury and then bring everyone together to discover what the real story is behind the town. They have telegraphed some of that, with the "Pleasantville" feel they have given the town from a few of the Season 3 trailers. I'm guessing, Andrea and Michonne storyline will provide a view of general workings of the town and show a few signs of strain or cracks in the porcelain, and then I suspect they will get back with the larger group. We know a conflict is coming with the town - I'm excited to see how it plays out.

True, Watching daily life in the prison could be boring once they get settled.
