A couple of friends from back home and I are going to the UMKC game on Wednesday. Anyone going to this? If so what sections?
What a flop. Playing at UMKC is a dumb move, IMO. Where is the upside? 200 KC area Clone fans seeing them live is nice and all, but this one is a head scratcher overall.
Minneapolis/St Paul is just loaded with ISU fansOutside of the Des Moines area, what are some metro areas with large Cyclone fan contingents? I know KC has been mentioned.

The game's at Municipal Auditorium, right? I've been inside Municipal a few times and always thought it would be an awesome venue to see a basketball game. Wood bleachers, art-deco detailing, has a real vintage vibe--should be a very cool environment and I sure wish I could go (and have a few Boulevards at Kelly's afterwards!)

I'll be there in Kansas City. Really hope we get a game up in the Twin Cities at Target Center, given Freddy's Timberwolves connection.
In answer to some things. Municipal has hosted more Final Fours than any other arena. In the early years when trains were the mode, and even when planes were slow, the middle of the country location was premium. Of course the Twister Sisters won two Big 12 tournaments in this building, and I believe still have the best overall Big 12 tournament record there as well. They did lose to Penn State in the Sweet Sixteen here. I stil can picture that last shot by Megan Taylor bouncing off.
Don't count on seeing any wooden bleachers. The lower seats are similar to those behind the baskets and the benches in Hilton.
The ISU Alumni Club in KC got tickets in a group. That's where we'll be. I believe there will be a pre-game party at Johnny's in the P&L.
