What a flop. Playing at UMKC is a dumb move, IMO. Where is the upside? 200 KC area Clone fans seeing them live is nice and all, but this one is a head scratcher overall.

I'm bringing the entire family. I guarantee we'll have way more than 200 ISU fans there. Not all of us can make to Hilton as often as we'd like so it is nice to be able to see them play a cupcake in KC (home of a very large group of alums).

ISU had pretty good representation nationwide. I can always find an ISU fan, no matter where I am.

The game's at Municipal Auditorium, right? I've been inside Municipal a few times and always thought it would be an awesome venue to see a basketball game. Wood bleachers, art-deco detailing, has a real vintage vibe--should be a very cool environment and I sure wish I could go (and have a few Boulevards at Kelly's afterwards!)

I believe it has the most ever Final Fours as well. That was a rumor though. It's a great older arena.

I'll be there in Kansas City. Really hope we get a game up in the Twin Cities at Target Center, given Freddy's Timberwolves connection.

The Greater Muscatine Metro is loaded with ISU alum and friendlies, even though it is only 40 miles from another university. LOTS of engineers and ag related jobs here.

As of now me and three other friends (didn't go to ISU and didn't even care to like ISU before I went there) are going down for this. Should be a good time, especially with P&L District a couple blocks away!

In answer to some things. Municipal has hosted more Final Fours than any other arena. In the early years when trains were the mode, and even when planes were slow, the middle of the country location was premium. Of course the Twister Sisters won two Big 12 tournaments in this building, and I believe still have the best overall Big 12 tournament record there as well. They did lose to Penn State in the Sweet Sixteen here. I stil can picture that last shot by Megan Taylor bouncing off.

Don't count on seeing any wooden bleachers. The lower seats are similar to those behind the baskets and the benches in Hilton.

The ISU Alumni Club in KC got tickets in a group. That's where we'll be. I believe there will be a pre-game party at Johnny's in the P&L.

Might hit up Johnny's then before the game.
