8 pages and nobody has brought up the worst name trend in Iowa??

Kinnick.

My son has not one but two boys in his class named Kinnick. My wifes cousin named his kid Kinnick and my brother in law was going to name his kid Kinnick until they found out they are having a girl.

Seriously, how would you like to be named after a football stadium? I just want to slap the **** out of every parent with a child named Kinnick.

My neighbor actually named his son Nile Kinnick. It's not actually his son though because his wife cheated on him. Typical Hawk fans...

Bill Dickover. He was a service rep for a company we worked with. Got back to my desk one day and there was a post-it note message there to "Call Bill Dickover" with a phone number. I thought it was some jokester at work pulling a prank and I threw the note away. Found out later he was real.

When I first read this, I thought his name was Bill Dicklover.

Not that I would do it but if I named my son Jack Trice it would be after the person not the stadium.
Also, I know a lot of Cyclone wrestling fans that named there sons Cael. Bet they feel dumb now:) Actually, I like the name in spite of the coach.

Having worked with medical records, I've seen some doozies. Saw a newborn baby boy named Talon. Also saw a patient named Crystal Glass. A co-worker who's a registered nurse said that when she used to work the floor, they had a patient called Tad Moredick.

My husband's former co-worker has a son named Blaze. (I believe the son is now college-aged) Then there's my husband's cousin's kids....Atticus, Diedrich, Lincoln, and Thea Belle.

My best friend (who is very, very smart but a little naive), her husband, my husband, and I were all playing Trivial Pursuit one night. She was reading the question, and she read it as something like, "What SNL skit featured a shuh-mah-lay?" Nobody had ANY clue what she was talking about, so I looked at the card. It was "shemale."

Many years ago, my mom, dad, aunt, and uncle were playing a game called "Go to the Head of the Class". My aunt reads a card as "Spell 'rare-riffy'" My mom and dad were confused, so she repeated it, and they were still baffled. They finally looked at the card, and the word was "rarify". My aunt was a second grade teacher for nearly 40 years.

Oh, forgot that my HS biology teacher was Thomas Tomas.

Also had a friend in high school who had a December 24th birthday. He said that if he was a girl, his parents were going to name him Holly.

Bart: I'm trying to reach Tad Moredick.

Moe: Is there a Tad Moredick in here? Hey everyone, I'm looking for a Tad Moredick. I need a Tad Moredick.

I believe this. Being the child I am, I probably would've named a kid after somebody on Game of Thrones if I had one when I was reading the books. And then they'd probably turn into a complete tool or die a horrible death in future books.

I can tell you from being on a message board for babies that a lot of people have indeed named their children after Game of Thrones. Not the mildly normal names like Circe, either.

Someone at my work is now named "Kelly Kelly" after getting married. She shouldn't have taken her husband's name.

Is this her?

My wife works with kids in a psych hospital. She's seen kids with all sorts of weird names. Princestiara (one word) is one of her favorite first names she's come across. Also she's literally seen dozens of kids named "Unique" with some special ghetto spelling. There has also been multiple girls named "Chastity" born to single mothers. I find the irony of all of these pretty funny.

Girl's family used to own Nielsen Automotive. Named her son Niels Otto (first name, middle name).
