I thought the game was officiated pretty well until the end. They did not let guys get away with the hip riding out on the perimeter which is as it should be. But then they became chicken-***** at the end.

It is absolutely astonishing that they can't get the foul called on the right person. Just shocking.

Yeah. I thought the officiating for 35 of the 45 minutes was fine, nothing great, but nothing too horrible either. But the "meltdown" at the end of the game was just inexcusable, no two ways about it.

The word "choke job" gets tossed around all the time when a team loses a game it shouldn't, so can we start using for officiating crews when they suddenly become breathtakingly incompetent in the last five minutes of a game that had been well-officiated beforehand?

If we had Kenny Pratt, we would be shooting fouls at the end instead of chunking up threes. Ugg....I hate to even say this, because the guys played so well tonight, but if we have a point guard leader of the team hit two free throws I think we still overcome the referees on this. We just have to be 9 points better to win by 1 with the cult of jayhawk penalty that must haunt these referees.

Shouldn't have let us back in the door.. There where some bad calls on both sides.. I remember a travel, but releford was called for a foul instead.. Withey didn't even score after that supposed 5th foul.. Your team shouldn't have left it to the officials.. It was funny seeing that 7 year old cry because you lost though!!! Haha

Please identify yourself so we can kick the shith out of you !

Another missed call that is being overlooked here - Babb getting called for that loose ball foul at the end of the game. Bad call in the first place... But then they got to shoot foul shots. Thinking back to the all the discussions following the OSU game, KU did not have possession after their missed shot, so should not have gotten foul shots. Just like we didn't at the end of the OSU game.
You are ignoring one key piece in this though. KU doesn't play by the same rules as the rest of the B12

I'm surprised no one has brought up the foul call on one McLemore's three early in the game when there was no whistle until the ball was completely airballed. I never saw a replay but if it is a foul, call it before the miss. I've noticed this a lot this year especially. Refs won't call fouls unless a shot is missed. It's either a foul or its not. it shouldn't be conditional.

Where are those posters that say we shouldn't blame the refs for anything? I would really like their opinion on the last few minutes of regulation.
I am generally one of those people. I realize how difficult officiating basketball can be, especially at this level. That being said, tonight was absolutely one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen. I'm so sick of teams like KU getting calls like that at the end of games. Bill Self won the game with his technical in the first 3 minutes because he knew he'd need the officiating on his side to have any chance in the game. The loose ball foul on Babb and the no charge/loose ball foul on Niang were two calls that really made me wonder about the integrity of the officials on the court. I know a lot of people will chalk this complaining up to an emotional game but come on, enough is enough. These games happen to KU EVERY YEAR. Just like they happen to Duke, UNC, and other major teams EVERY YEAR. It isn't a jealousy thing, it is a reality thing.

Don't you have a fallen American soldier's funeral to go protest. You kU pukes are so arrogant that you will never even realize that the entire sports nation is up in arms tonight over that debacle of a game on national TV. To kU fans, this is normal stuff, they rely, and actually expect the refs to help them in games. You can't blame them, they are used to it. Sure there were bad calls throughout the game, but the calls at the end of the game, when the refs know what they need to do to push the golden children over the top, are the ones that matter.

This was an obvious snow job and something needs to be done in the NCAA offices to stop this nation wide outbreak of terrible, obvious biased for the 'elite' teams officiating. These refs need to be accountable. If they have an obviously crappy game like they did tonight, they should be fined and an announcement needs to be made by the NCAA that they were punished. This will ruin this game if it is allowed to keep happening.

I feel for you Cyclone fans. I have been through this many, many times before in games with kU. It isn't that much better in the SEC, but at least it won't happen on your home court there. I cheered every three you made and was appalled when they allowed Withey to stay in the game after he clearly fouled out. The non charging call was bad, but the call on the floor made after that was worse. Then the loose ball foul that put the jayhawks on the line to tie the game was another God awful call. Like I said, I feel for you guys, I'm just glad we are out of a conference where the league officials predetermine the league champ before the season even begins.

Ugh...thanks for reminding me. That one was right in front of me....bogus. One if those "well, he air balked it and that guy was close...HAD to be a foul" whistles

And then Lucious drove...gets hammered as the ball goes out of bounds...Kansas ball. No call. And he just got called for fanning Maclemore. Effing joke.

That was a foul. A ticky tack one, but a foul none the less. good call, kind of like the foul they called for the charge in the last minute. Oh wait.

I've became a conspiristist theorist, the refs seemed to favor us when we were down, but when we were pulling away.....wait, we have to do something about the one point spread.....

And along with my conspirist theory, comes the reason KU never lives up to their billing in the tourney. Because then there is money all over the place, it pays sometimes to have a uni beat them

I'm guessing your last name is Pattison...or wait, you're just like every other KU doosh fan that I've ever met...

Screw them, when we have twin Hoibergs nailing threes to beat them, they will sing a different tune.

As an objective college basketball fan I have no problem with the no call on the "charge". I think there are waaaayyyy to many charges called in the game nowadays, and I am of the opinion that in the final seconds you let the players decide the game unless it is an egregious foul (which this was not).

However, the loose ball foul on Niang was a load of horse manure. I will agree with you there. Although, would you rather have a player on the FT line with a 47 percent chance of tying the game up and forcing OT, or leave a wide open 3 to a player with a 29 percent chance of taking the lead and winning the game?
