So, we get all the breaks next year right?

This team has built up enough karma to win 3 championships in a row.

Not thinking that ever comes to fruition.

we have to not put ourselves in a position to get screwed over like this at the end. With how badly the first half went .......and being what, 13 points down? It's incredible we were even there at the end. Fred needs to drill endings like this into their heads when they're missing FTs and easy layups earlier in the game.

I was hoping that karma was coming back this year during tourney. Like today, had we for that board and had the last shot. Too bad, this side of the bracket is pretty open to the final 4.

I just told my wife the same thing. We all remember the groin kicks vs KU, but we missed 1:1s in each game right before the end. Gotta get the bunnies.

Gotta specifically work on how to defend when the offense has limited time. If Niang noticed there was that little time could've run Craft off the line.

I have a theory that all this bad luck is karma for JVB's shot after the buzzer to beat Creighton Fred's first year. I think we've suffered enough by now for that one win.

You would think both Iowa and Iowa State are way overdue for some breaks next year, both have horrendous luck when it comes to late game situations and 3's never missing.

I think collectively, all ISU fans must have been Nazi's in another life. I can't explain this karma any other way.

Aaron Craft shooting a 3 is a win in that situation, Aaron Craft driving and throwing a lob for a dunk would've been a much higher percentage play for OSU. Niang got caught on a switch and kept a crappy shooter in front of him, we should've went to OT 70% of the time. Although based on the season we're losing that game 100% of the time in OT.

Not by judging the "The referees called an OK game" and "We had other shots at winning this game" posts by the mediocrity-accepting Cyclone fans. With similar talent and coaching we will win games at home where we shoot greater than 40% on threes. We will win an occaisional road game when we shoot greater than 75% on threes. We will lose to name programs with an active alumni base that punishes bad calls from referees. We will go to the NCAA tourney 3 out of 4 years and will always be a 8-12 seed. We will lose in second round to either the eventual National Champion in a blow out or to a Large "name" school in a close game decided by a bad call. What is past is prologue.

Until we become one of ESPN's privileged programs it will be hard to overcome the hump refs give to the ESPN favorites.

Yes we should have made bunnies, not turn the ball over as much and played better defense, but when a close game is on the line against the name school you will lose cause the refs do not want to here it from their ******* cry baby alumni base. The big name schools will always get the call so you have to have a good lead towards the end just to have a chance.

We played so hard today to only come up short because of another blown call down the stretch, refs can determine the outcome of a game. You will never play the perfect game, but when you are the name school you get the benefit. Anyway, great game and heart by our team love them and lets get ready for next year.
