Paving the student lots and making it donor parking is perfectly fine by me! I am a student and could care less on where the students lots. Put us in the green space across from the Vet college and call it good! As compensation though I would ask to extend tailgating to 7 hours prior to kickoff.
It's important because they want to make an impressive entrance to the University in that area, seems like they want everything to work together to enhance that entrance.
As a non-student i hope that doesnt happen. I love rolling into ames and seeing the party going in the student lot right on the main road
