I think they offered him a boat load of money, but he turned it down.

Maybe anyone not named Christopher Nolan should just back off the Batman franchise.

This will definitely not be as dark of a Batman story as Nolan's. His was all about being as realistic as possible and gritty.

Hopefully it will still be well written and the Batman/Superman interaction will give them an opportunity to tell new stories.

I'm glad he didn't take it. He's smart enough to know that his run as Batman ends with Nolan's.

Even if this version of Batman is decent, it will be a far cry from the recent movies.

Now if it implodes, Bale will steer clear of the carnage.
