Re: Rashad Vaughn

I can ignore a grammatical or spelling error or two.

One huge paragraph with run-on sentences is another thing. Making paragraphs on a smart phone makes things easier - not harder.

Fine, then just think they are stupid. Why the need to call people out? I am guessing because it annoys the hell out of you. Well it annoys the hell out of me reading posts pointing out grammatical mistakes (and thus am probably a little hypocritical calling you out). End rant, carry on.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

The content had plenty of reasons to call the guy out on so why bother getting petty over punctuation. Typing on a smart phone with big thumbs can lead to a lot of errors and it can be very time consuming to go and edit if it is not really needed for communicating a point. The "grammer police" obsessed about calling out everyone's errors are obnoxious, whether aimed at a UNLV troll or one of our own.

The first guy had an obvious grammatical error himself so I assumed he was just being sarcastic.

Wrong guy.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Seriously, the UNLV guys, and to an extent, the UNC guy, have ruined what a great thread this was.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Am I the only one who thinks people talking about the vaughn thread being ruined, rather than actually talking about Vaughn related activities, are the people ruining the Vaughn thread?

A vaughn related story: on 247 sports we are now up to 55% of the crystal ball predictions are now ISU and all of the predictions made since like November 9th are for ISU to land him. These are just predictions and in no way reflect directly what he thinks, but it's nice to know it's not just homer fans that think he's coming here!

(Yes I am aware that this post in a way contributes to that)

Actually these posts are ruining the thread. Asking us to talk about Vaughn related things when posting information that has been posted probably 4 times. There is no new information.

All of that information had been buried by all of the UNLV bashing and the posts complaining about the UNLV bashing. But thanks for not being a **** about it.

My apologies that was not what I wanted it to come across as.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

I trust Jon Rothestein when he thinks it'll come down to ISU v. UNLV on Vaughn.

I think that this season is going to play a factor in his decision and I think it'd be huge for us to land Cunningham, so he knows who he'll be playing with. The other upside that ISU has over UNLV is the conference. The Big 12 will be tougher night in and night out than UNLV will, and after this season, he's going to be used to playing with the top dogs. That, plus his relationship with Fred and the proximity of Ames to his home may all be big pluses in our column.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Remember that even though it's 56% now, that number is higher because you can wipe out those 4 Kentucky predictions. You might as well discount the four Minnesota predictions as well since that's a joke. That puts us somewhere around 75%.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

There are a few factors that I could see coming into play here - they may not have any influence whatsoever:

It seems that Vaughn enjoys playing with Kelly Paul Oubre at Findlay. Who knows if they have any interest in playing together, but that makes Kansas a player in my book.

Also, a little Twitter stalking (I am a creeper, yes) will show you that Vaughn has a girlfriend from MN that now plays for Georgetown. Who knows if that has any impact on where he goes (doubt it), but it could give UNC a bit more momentum in RV's mind as he would be a bit closer to her. This is a high school kid, and I know I'd have done about anything for a girl at 18.

Just sayin'.

Wrong. It is new information as the poster can obviously see well over a month into the future.

While I would obviously like to land Cunninham, but I don't think it should infunce RV's decision one way or another. He is already aware of Niang's game and if, as expected, Monte and Thomas show to be Big 12 quality guards with the potential to be more it should go farther in wanting to join the team for a deep tourny run. Those are the players that would be starting with him. Expecting Cunningham to come in his freshman year and immediately contribute major minutes if Vaughn were to commit seems unlikely to me.

Unless you tally those up for UNLV. Who says they would all switch their pick to ISU?
