A friend just dropped off a bottle of Blanton's bourbon and it' the best bourbon I've ever had. No idea of the price but if you ever see it pick up a bottle. There's a little horse on top.

anything with old people and computers over the phone is painful. Husband gets that role with his parents and I get frustrated just listening to his end of the conversation.

If this isn't the truth I don't know what is. My mom has had her own laptop for going on 4 years and occasionally still forgets how to copy and paste. Helping her load pictures on facebook is usually about a 30 minute long event.

my wife is watching Ever After and they all have British accents. It's set in France. My question is two-fold.

1). why even have accents if all the characters are speaking English? It's not realistic if it's not in the native language. That's why I liked the Passion and Apacalypto so much - actual real foreign languages.

2). if you're going to have accents why not use the real accent of the place? British seems to be the "catch all" for anything not American.

I was really nice to him. He gets really emotional when he loses at anything.

I didn't snatch up all the properties I could have and I made some friendly trades to help him figure out how monopolies worked and buy some houses.

Does anyone else besides me on this site get all BAH HUMBUG on Halloween?

I just don't get the attraction of all the scary-horror-macabre. I really wonder about people who go all out like those whose yards are full of ghoulish decorations. Plus all the deadness of autumn and plants dead or going into no leaf mode. All those horror movies on cable - no thanks.

The little kids in costumes is about all I enjoy. The rest of it - I'm just waiting for it to be over with.

Halloween has gone downhill for me after college. But good god was Halloween a fun holiday in college. Some of the "creativity" that went into girls costumes...
