Re: Rashad Vaughn

I'm thinking about changing a friends name in my phone contact to "Fred Hoiberg" and have him text me "Just got off the phone with Rashad. Cross Minnesota off the list!" Just to see what happens.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

I hate Gopher Hole. It's so funny they are trying to knock out actual competition for Vaughn because everyone knows they have .000001% chance of landing him. And thats only if they somehow knock out the other 6 teams in his top 7.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

My honest guess is that Dean talked to a GA or a student manager or two and just tweeted this.

.

Tweeting about any conversation with any person associated with @CycloneMBB about recruiting is beyond stupid.

ISU, no offense to them has very average academics, it isn't in a warm climate on a beach somewhere, it's in Ames which is a small city surrounded by nothingness, it doesn't have a nationally-respected basketball program, it isn't in a strong basketball conference, the facilities, while nice, are by no stretch of the imagination amazing. So what the hell... ($$$$$$$$$$$)?

Ha Ha Ha Ha

Oh Minnesota how soon you forget....

Re: Rashad Vaughn

How about Mayor reporting that Fran F told him Dickie V would be coming to Hilton for the Michigan game at the luncheon yesterday? We have to get Orr in the building if that is true.

Hilton (and Ames) is going to be bonkers for RV's visit...

I think it's unfair to assume ISU is cheating. I will say this though, UNLV's recruitment of Vaughn has been shady from the get-go. And if UNLV and ISU truly are Vaughn's top two, ISU could be considered guilty by association. I hope this isn't the case, but if Vaughn is going to go to the school who gives the best "offer" and these two are at the top, then hmmmmm.

And IF Rashad's recruitment has gone to the shady side, then I'll pass. They can have him. I'd rather be a bubble team every year and do things the right way then "buy" a one and done player who could maybe bring us to the elite eight. Some may feel differently and that's fine. I felt the same way with Isaiah Whitehead. At first I was bummed he didn't choose the U, but after hearing about his coach getting a job at SHU I didn't care anymore. I don't like that type of recruiting.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

As for gopherhole, that sites just an embarrassment. You have an anarchy over and Hawkeye Nation, a fascist site over at gopherhole, and you have Cyclone Fanatic sitting in the middle of that spectrum.

At gopherhole, they can make anything out of nothing.

Almost anything. They still can't make Minnesota into anything important.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

gopherhole.
What a bunch of butthurt toolbags. They keep looking at ISU making silly statements and forget we have one of the most sought after coaches right now. No ISU fan thinks Vaughn coming here is going to be due to ISU but rather the Fred effect. Fred, the one who spearheaded the violations within ISU's athletic department. Not sure how you can question his character AT ALL.

Ok, putting the Gopherhole stuff behind us....

Has ANYONE heard any legit info about the rumored knee injury? That is huge news if true, but it seems like something would be out by now if it actually happened.

That could take some time. I'm pretty lazy about avatars. The RV avatar was my first, and DB was my 2nd. Two years from now, no one will even know who he is
