You said Iowa is better than Wisconsin right now? You're joking right?

I think Iowa is better than Wisconsin right now...they seem to matchup really well in Iowa's favor. Last year Iowa won at home and lost basically in the last 30 secs in the Kohl Center and should have won that game.

Why? Wisconsin is 8-0 with the 11th hardest schedule in the country and Iowa already has a loss with the 114th ranked schedule. Plus Wisconsin is ranked 8th in the country in the AP Poll.

Watched Iowa for the first time last night, my biggest take away from it was Notre Dame's defense is horrible. SOmebody else posted that they didn't get back on defense in transition, I agree, but it was worse than that. How many times was an Iowa player wide open under the basket for an easy bank in. Once the ball hit the glass the rebounding was terrible. Seeing how bad ND looked on D, I coundn't believe that the game was that close.

Just my opinion, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.

The only way Iowa wins is by doing what they did last year. Out physical your shooters, get the bigs in foul trouble, run the break.

Agreed on the last two but I don't think the first part is a realistic possibility this year. If I were Fran I'd run a 3/4 court press every once in awhile, and definitely when the ISU's 2 freshmen are in the game. I don't think ISU has handled it very well, even against Auburn's incredibly lazy press they made too many poor decisions.

I think this will be a really tough game. Iowa's super bowl. They have a lot of length that gave us problems last year. I think Marble / White will be a tough match up - Hogue can't guard both (not sure how Matty Ice is going handle one of them).

This game will come down to which team gets into foul trouble first. ISU has the shooters to make a come back, but if ME and GN get into early foul troulbe, Iowa is going to dominate the glass and kill us inside.

Rankings don't mean crap at this point in the season and SOS really doesn't either. Some teams are perceived as good wins early in the season but by the end of season they are not. I watched Iowa play Wisconsin last year and they were the better team in both games. The styles they play along with the personnel matchups favor Iowa head to head.

Yes, but I wouldnt stop there. I would just press the living shiz out of ISU because they need to create as many TO's as possible. By out physical I just mean play tighter defense than they are usually used to and hopefully get rid of the **** poor collapsing zone they ran last night.

We as Iowa State fans would be crazy to think that Iowa is not a good team. They are going to be the best team we have played all year, about even with Michigan I think at this point. Although I still think Michigan is going to be a better team by the end of the year. I am excited that both programs are good again, and it is going to be a great match up.

ok well you cant preach about iowas lack of effort because you KNOW it will be there vs us. if anything it just shows they are capable of beating ND with lack luster effort.

Wisconsin hasn't lost yet with a tougher schedule. Those are facts. How Iowa plays them this year or last year has nothing to do with who is the better team right now. If you want to debate a head to head matchup that's a whole different story but Wisconsin is clearly the better team right now

Iowa is going to put their heads down and take it to the hole. Edozie and Percy better be ready because they are going to need to play. We need to make 3's when they are there and the crowd needs to affect the game.

I assume a most of the game Kane will be guarding Marble, Hogue will be on White, MT will be on Gissel, Ejim/Niang will be on Basabe/Woodbury. As an ISU fan, I am more than comfortable with each of those matchups.

Foul trouble could be an issue, but that is for every game. I'm gaining more and more confidence in the play of Naz, Monte, and Edozie. I think ISU possible depth concerns have been little overblown. Heck there was even a SDW and Percy sighting on Monday.

Did you watch last years game? Percy looked like he was one of the best bigs on the floor against Iowa. I'm really not worried at all about our bigs for the Iowa game. Iowas a bigs are a weakness we should be able to expose.

Looking forward to getting this game over with a W to get rid of the trolls for at least a while.

Just worried about the fouls and White's flopping. They gave Sherman 29 last night.

No doubt. Who would've thought a deep NIT run would make a fan base so feisty.

I think it has more to do with the daily Iowa basketball discussion that is going on this site right now and has been going on for months. You want to keep the trolls away, don't start threads that almost beg for them to come.

Well, considering this thread was started by an Iowa troll, and the other threads are started by one of your own (Clones21), it seems that Iowa fans want to bring the discussion here.
