After church, tavern Hok hunts me down to tell me we were lucky to escape "da Hoks' [insert sexual preference slur term] purple scout team." They are just unreal.

Should we put Rulzzz and Cowgirl in separate isolation cells next Friday?

Hell... put 'em in the same isolation cell. What could go wrong?

Spot on analysis. ISU gets blown out a lot at Hilton too so I could definitely see that happening

We must fear the perennial NIT power Iowa. Not just any program can have back to back NIT appearances. Hoks are screaming 'fear us, please fear us!' And some clone fans fear the great back to back NIT team with many years of zero NCAA appearances before that. Yet we get excited to play kansas. I don't get it. Just remember it is at hilton. Trust the Fred. And realize that hoks haven't beaten a quality team yet. Everything in this game stacks up in the favor of the clones. Hok fans think they will beat everybody they play. They also think Aaron White is gonna be next Larry Bird, or Peter Jok is the best freshman any program has ever seen. That Gessell could've played point guard for Iowa as a 7th grader(he may have been able too, remember the hoks have sucked or awhile). I for one can't wait to read the meltdowns on the hawkeye bball threads following the beatdown they are going to get.

I'm like 5 pages too late but I don't get the white-ejim argument. It was one game, and white is playing the 3. This year they may not even match up all that much, it will probably be hogue on him.

It's been so long since Iowa beat a ranked team, the ISU fanbase hadnt even turned on Mess yet.

This game will be Iowa's superbowl. They need that 1 good nonconf win.

Fran will get them up extra for this game

I guess I don't see the lose lose. Beating Iowa would be a good win on our resume come march. It would make us 2-0 against top 25. Yes a loss would suck cuz we have to hear about it for a year but overall wouldn't be a bad loss

Agreed. Still wish we didn't even play this game. It's a lose/lose situation for us

Come on man. We've held our own in this series since the 80's. They are ranked right around where we are currently. A win against them only builds our resume for March.

I believe rebounding will be the biggest deciding factor in this game...Iowa has a lot more size overall, but ISU is more athletic! Hopefully the Hilton crowd will help to prevent a third consecutive sluggish start! Should be an outstanding game, and I believe the match-up helps BOTH teams' resume's significantly because of "strength of schedule" computations which ALWAYS become relevant come "selection Sunday"!

Anyone remember last years game when ISU played good for 5 minutes total in the game ands till had the lead at half on the road? Screw the hawks, they are not going to win. Goodbye top 25.

I don't like the fact that Iowa will have already played 11 games when they meet us. We will have only played 7. Advantage Iowa.

Why are we scared of anyone in bball now? We can play with Kansas, Baylor, Okie State, Michigan, BYU and THE Ohio State week in and week out. Bring on anyone. I get tired of schedule watching and dodging in football, in MBBall it is next team up, give us your best shot. We will lose a few but they will all be competitive, entertaining games. Time for people to fear us on their schedule....

If you want to be the best, got to beat the best. No Iowa isn't the best, but Kansas doesn't complain about tough comp, they just get it done. That's what we need to do. It's in Hilton, no excuses get it done. I hope Iowa brings it. Only makes us better.

Yea cause Iowa fans don't say the same when playing UNI either.

Ummmm, no we don't. We say that about playing ISU. LSU is saying that about playing Iowa in the Outback, and ISU says it about playing UNI.
